Better athletes at safety make more sense.

They fit fine in the various change up defenses and offer more on special teams.

Wow. Cox and Bohanna and Malik are surprises. I knew they liked Dowdle. Luepke is safe.

I felt it could either way and it looks like the move was debated until the last minute.

Sean McKeon made it through Waivers last year and spent several weeks on the Practice Squad before getting re-signed to the 53.

It may happen again.

If not, I understand exposing a fringe player with only one year remaining of his contract.
