The Cowboys have drafted better in recent years, but they continue to make some bad costly picks in the 2nd round. Don't know what they saw in Kelvin Joseph. Way overdrafted.

PUP already allows the same roster management as moving a player to IR/DTR during the regular season.

Speculation had Jourdan Lewis and his rep pushing to get activated now due to worry about all the young CBs fighting for a spot on the roster.

Do you have to add the player to the 53 prior to putting him on PUP or IR if your going to activate them later in the season?

Very well there were no options for that to happen.
Both teams wanted to move on from those players and no others, unless different set of draft picks.

Lots of potential and ability. Too bad it was kept under a 10-cent head.

I would have kept him because he showed progress this preseason when they moved him to the slot, but I can understand why they would want to give a different bust a try.
