An example of why the Skins' method of trading 3rd and 4th rounders for proven players is not such a bad idea.

Yes because 1 bad pick erases guys like Chris Canty, Marion Barber, and Bradie James, :laugh1:

Oshinowo released, eh?

Isn't he a big fat guy? Perfect fit!

Oshinowo was the guy I wanted before we took Stanley instead.

Can't hurt for PS I imagine.

I thought that Skyler Green still had a chance to stay on the team before the Minnesota game. After that fumble, though, I knew he was gone.

The second that ball popped out on Green's punt return, his fate was sealed.

Yep, I think we were all thinking the same thing. Short of a spectacular run for a td once he fumbled, there really wasn't anything Green could have done to redeem himself.

omar jacobs looked pretty good to me the times i have seen him this preseason

Not surprising. Thought he was gonna end up on the practice squad anyway. Looks like Rector is gonna be the punt returner.

Really just a formality. With the emergence of Hurd/ Rector and his lack of productivity it was just a matter of time. Only thing he did to warrant staying on the roster was get picked in the 4th round ... that's it.

Too bad though I won' be surprised if another team picks him up and he makes some noise with them.

The fumble against Minny sealed his fate.

I was really pulling for this kid, ever since I heard the phone call between him and Jerry Jones.

It's sad, but after that fumble, I knew we couldn't keep him.

Brilliant! Because we all know 4th rounders never contribute to the team that drafts them. It just never happens.

For instance from Commanders History.

1996...Stephen Davis. He was a total bust in Washington right?

I mean 5760 yards rushing and 45 TDs is replaceable every day right?

Yeah, you're right, it isn't worth risking anything on draft picks. There's no evidence any pick after Day 1 ever helped the Skins or any team right? None of them last more than the length of pre-season. Certainly they don't contribute for 10 years or more.

Much better to overpay for a guy who can give you 2 or 3 years of mediocre football because that is the formula for success.

Without a doubt, one of the dumbest stances ever taken on this forum.

To be fair, I think Mossburner has said much dumber things on this forum

Didn't Parcells want Artose Pinner before the Lions took him?

people even see the stickies at the top of forum?
I didn't see it until after posting...

Anyway, I believe official Cowboys cuts should get their own thread so people don't miss them.
