Just to be clear, I liked Manziel but wasn't in love with him and never expected us to take him. But I do think some people have gone overboard with the smart/safe/trenches talk. There's more to good drafting than just taking an OL every year, especially at 16 and especially a G/RT. This isn't Tyron Smith.

We screwed the pooch. Now we have to go defense. Perhaps Derek Carr will still be around. Hopefully we do some wheeling & dealing tomorrow night. I prefer to avoid waiting until Romo is walking with a cane to draft our next general.

Nope, but he's arguably the best OG in the draft and a guy who could start over three players on this OL, like tomorrow. Martin was the only player that could handle Aaron Donald at the Senior Bowl. They played this one right.

That's a great point and I hadn't really thought of it that way.

It was either Martin, Manziel, or a safety.

I don't think they could trade out.

Do people realize that first-round tackles and DL bust at as high or a higher rate than qb?

In 2-3 years, we'll have the best offensive line in football... unfortunately, we'll still have the worst defense

Cleveland not done yet

With their offensive line, defense, Cameron & Gordon i really think they have a good foundation. If they use their boat load of picks and cap space wisely they could be dangerous in a year. Just need to capitalize on the opportunity as the Ravens and Steelers slide back.

Bet they go get another WR next.

Actually a very good situation for JF
