***Official Draft Thread Day THREE***

Doubt they fall to the seventh but there's still Anthony Johnson (DT), Lache Seastrunk (RB), Jackson Jeffcoat (DE), and Dion Bailey (FS). I'd be happy with any of them, maybe trade up again to the sixth to get one of these guys.

It looks like we're still going to go into this with a bad defense, unfortunately, but hopefully the offense should have a bit more spark. Still hovering around the 8-8 realm, talent-wise. We're nowhere near the 49ers or Seahawks. Probably not the Eagles, either. But we're also not the Commanders, so there's that.

what has ANYBODY seen in ben bass in his 3 NFL games to think he is anything other than a JAG?
i think its more HOPE than anything

I take Jackson Jeffcoat in the 7th and run to the podium. Then I select Ken Bishop... hes still available right?

What is becoming abundantly clear so far is that we are actually going to have Terrell McClain starting opening day.

LOL

Has me hoping the criminal Brent is going to be ready to go during training camp. He's a perfect fit there, such an unfortunate situation in every aspect. He can play though, we all saw it but he hasn't played in a while either,

I doubt that Johnson is even on the Cowboys board - work ethic issues and a failed drug test at the combine.

Seastrunk is a small, quick RB who was not a pass catcher out of the backfield. Jeffcoat is only regarded because of his name - if his father didn't play at a high level in the NFL, I doubt that he is regarded at all (he's small and his speed is average). Dion Bailey is a S projection who didn't run well at the combine.

I think a lot of people are sort of underplaying the possibility of Josh Brent being on the field again in a Cowboys uniform as many cry for a 1 tech. Yes, go ahead laugh now, eat your words later.

Wow I remember seeing very recent mocks with Bailey going to us in the second or third round, why is he falling so much? Maybe just inaccurate scouting by the media.

Broaddus and Fisher have been saying Dallas has no interest in Jeffcoat.

I'd love to get Mike Davis in here though. Gilbert at QB. I prefer Mettenberger and I'm surprised he still available so if he sticks around, I'd be thrilled to have him.

So you are saying he is not very good after only 3 games.....They don't keep players on hopes...

Still some good players left on the board. Dallas should be trying to trade back up into the 6th right now.

I do think Dallas tries to trade back into the 6th.

Two 7ths or a 2015 5th would do it.

The coaches like him and Hatcher loved the guy. He's never said a word about other players so that means something to me. He caught people's eye last year in camp.

Why would you even reference his games played here? He went on IR for an ankle injury Dec 2012 and never played a down last year after dislocating his shoulder going on IR for the entire year. We'll see what he has this year. I'm more concerned about his shoulder than his play. But you're entitled to your opinion. He certainly doesn't have a great track record.
