Jason Garrett is very lucky that he deals with the relatively laid back Dallas media. If he coached in Philly, NY or Boston..he would be getting destroyed. Destroyed!

Tomorrow's presser will without a doubt start off with some guy asking....
"Jason, talk us through what you were thinking when you got the ball back and ended up kicking a FG to go ahead 30-24....what was your thought process entering that drive?"

IN NY (and I have heard this question asked) Jason would hear....
"Jason, how are you still the head coach of this team?"

the plays being called is part of it, but the offense *MUST* execute and they, the players on the field, did NOT execute

I don't recall giving Dez the ball often in this game. How can you execute when your best playmaker doesn't have the ball?

Since when is Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and Terrance Williams mediocre? Excellent return man in Dwayne Harris? Dallas has more than enough talent. We just don't have the staff that knows how to utilize it on the offensive side of the ball.

outside of marinelli....coaching staff is as good as a group of stoned bums

i won't defend garrett, but dez was not being a diva. he waspumped when williams scored and gave romo love. he was pissed about missed opportunities.

It's ok to be pissed. Not ok to throw tantrum after tantrum in your teammates and coaches faces while the game is still going on and close. how can anyone defend that childish behavior?? Oh and droping the F bomb to America when the camera was in his face. Classless.

You're not...smart.

Back to the topic, I think that if you really think about how the game was managed on the offensive side of the ball with full knowledge of how our depleted defense was wearing down, you'll see a lot of wisdom in that and other similar posts.

Didn't watch the post game presser but did Garrett mention how he is proud of his losing team again? If we don't show significant post season success this year he needs to be gone

No. You do not down the ball in that situation. The only way you down the ball is if it guarantees the lions will not get it back.

You can't blame garret for everything. How you could blame him on that play calling is ridiculous.

At some point you have to blame the players. They are the reason we lost. Stupid plays in crucial situations.

You can't blame Garrett? You have to be kidding. Bryant was mostly 1 on 1 on 1st down and Cowboys keep trying to run the ball with 2nd string scrubs. You have your best playmaker asking for the ball we kept it conservative. How in the world can you say its an execution problem when you don't give the ball to your best playmaker? Seriously. This is so obvious that the problem is with coaching. You don't play not to lose. Which Garrett and his offense was doing all along. Thats the recipe for disaster.

Honestly

I think Jerry is probably more pissed than any of us are, and I can see him going on a rampid rage firing people left and right trying to get his head back in working order.

The truth is we were lucky to even be in the game. Detroit practically handed it to the Cowboys. They badly out played them.

Truth is that matters not. We lost a game that was ours for the taking and Garrett coughed up a hair ball w his late game clock management

I'm not saying the coaching was not bad. It was. The gameplan was terrible.

But the bottom line is we still should have won at the end. The players are the ones who screwed up in the last two minutes. At some point you have to hold the players accountable.

This guy has cost Dallas too many games in just his little time as being HC. He spews all this garbage about RKG he's the wrong kind of coach. I wish Jerry was type of guy to just bite the bullet and Roll with Marinelli as Interim coach. Thats all i have to say about that clown.

Romo and all the people involved in this offense were putrid today. This defense have them the first 3 Quarters to put this game away. Turnover after Turnover and nothing. From Romos bad throws to Dez acting like a idiot on the sidelines, they are a disgrace to this team.

The DEF just got tired. Plain and simple. They stopped the Lions over and over and over again

drives

5 plays 16 yrds 2:49
7 plays 37 yrds 4.20
3 plays 0 yrds :26
3 plays 4 yrds 1:10
9 plays 45 yrds FG 4:37
3 plays 4 yrds TD :52
5 plays 22 yrds 2;17
6 plays 17 yrds 2:39
4 plays 0 yards :56

Man IDK how these coaches still have jobs. Im not even going to say Romo didnt have time because he did. Sure there was pressure on him at times but Alot of this was Romos undoing. He was just horribly inaccurate all day. TW dropped some passes that were catchable aswell. Dez was just a D-bag today. He turned into a Me player. And im sure it was because CJ was burning the place up. It was all about the show up. He wasnt saying get these throws on target to Romo, but get me the ball. Throw it to me. DET put a double on this guy all game long. The end of the game was a clear reason why you need a running game.

Carr got beat up today plain and simple. Dallas left him one on one and it didnt hurt Dallas until the end. They shouldve had double on CJ instead of that crappy zone. By that time tho this DEf was gassed. The offense blew a great performance by the defense. MO getting hurt played a big part in it too.

JG, Callahan and the rest of that O staff are just utter garbage.

I would give Bryant the ball. Our offense started to open up when we stopped playing conservative and gave Bryant the ball. He may have been a dbag. But his right. Why keep running it when Bryant is 1 on 1? Thats stupid coaching right there.

they weren't laid back with wade phillips. fact is, he has a lot of media friends in dallas. from babe to mike fisher to norm who has been defending him nonstop so far on the radio postgame. its sickening how much of a pass he's gotten.

As much as people are freaking out, running the ball 3 times was the right call. Thats just the right way to play it. Holding call killed us.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, take a knee, and you don't have a chance to hold somebody!!! That's what you do, great concept isn't it!!!

Yep. He has had a totally free pass. He can ice his own kicker and have media people covering for him and inventing excuses.
