***Official NFL Pro Bowl Rosters Thread*** AdamJT list post #78

There are no playmakers or superstars on this team and we got two slots on the PB roster which I believe is generous. I don't think Allen or Ro. Williams should have made it. The only person on the roster somewhat deserving of a backup spot is Newman. Maybe Terry Glenn or Jason Witten, but Witten doesn't have the numbers thanks to the playcalling or the QB's inability to spot him when he's wide open (which is constantly).

I think these are the complete rosters (and some alternates) except for one AFC offensive tackle and two AFC guards, probably Willie Roaf, Will Shields and Brian Waters --

Don't anyone get upset about it. The Probowler never EVER has all the best players at their position.

Nathan Vasher? Isn't he a backup with the Bears? He's only in cuz of that missed fg return for a TD.

Wow, Vasher has like 8 interceptions on the season, an int return for a TD, that missed FG for a TD. he has played great this season!!!!!!

Nathan Vasher CHI 8 ints 145 yds 1 TD 46 yd long return

I think Roy definitely deserved it. He played excellent early in the year--only recently has he played poorly

I can't believe Newman isn't at least a reserve. Can't complain about much else.

Is Drew Bledsoe at least an alt? He had a great season, next year give him an o-line and flo back and we are on our way.

Newman might be an alternate. I haven't seen the Cowboys' alternates (possibly Newman, Witten and Glover?) listed anywhere yet.

Who are our alternates? I thought someone mentioned that earlier?

i hate the pro bowl...there is no reason vick should be there...period...

I don't really have strong feelings on Glover and Witten being there but from what I've seen of Newman, he should be there.

I don't think the new Pro Bowl rosters thread should have been combined with the earlier thread. Now people have to wade through pages of incomplete information to get to the official rosters.

If anything, the new thread should have been stickied and the old one unstickied.

Agreed. Witten's stats are below those two guys, but he should be a reserve because his play has been better than LJ Smith's. Newman should be there and Hall should not. Henry could have been there if he didnt get hurt, and Bledsoe should be a alternate. At least Eli didnt make it.

I get your point, but we didn't need two threads... Your official list however was noted in the thread title.

Pro Bowlers

Larry Allen and Roy Williams are the only Cowboys to make the Pro Bowl. Terence Newman is probably the only other player that really deserved to go. It would've been nice for Jason Witten to make it, but he didn't have enough big games or score enough touchdowns to woo voters. He is a first alternate, though.

Yeah even if you add his rushing yardage to his passing, he's still 600 yards short of Drew. His QB rating is 71, and he has eight less td passes.

Is this true? I thought Smith was the alternate?

Per Adam's list, LJ Smith was the 2nd alternate and according to JJT, Witten is the 1st alternate at TE.
