Official officiating thread

Thats my issue too, I know bad calls are going to happen, but there was so much the refs got wrong yesterday. Yes I will concede there were two defensive holding calls that werent called on the Cowboys, but to go the whole game and call two penalities on the Packers is absurd when there was clear holding by the Packers oline on nearly every play that matteres. If they called 1 or 2 holds I would probably would not be this upset. The Butler penalty had to be the worst penalty called in a decade. And did anyone confirm Claiborne actually put his hands to the receivers face?

Triangle choke on Irving last play, the spot foul PI which was highly debatable since it looks like ball was still in Rodgers hand. 0 offensive holdings.

If anyone would like to point out that the Packers were not gifted that game, please back it up with evidence.

mo did not hit his face

The NFL does not like Jerry.
The boys will continue to get this crappy treatment.

You know what cowboys nation should do? Turn off the tv. Dont watch the rest of the nfl playoffs. Our cowboys were the only reason the NFLs sorry *** product made money this year. Cowboys nation needs to just turn off the tvs. Their ratings will suffer without us.

I do that by default.
I am simply not interested in game without the cowboys.
i dont think that would do much.
it is simply impossible to organize an effective boycott.
We need to get personal.
I think we do have "probable cause" for those officials.
So F___ them.

We're responsible for their highest-rated games this season. I think our presence would be felt if we collectively ignored the rest of the season. They already saw the Super Bowl ticket prices drop once we were eliminated.

It seems like, as soon as the ratings plummet, they just have less deals on NFL stuff or charge more for other stuff. Basically, they're going to get their money anyway.

As evidenced by the cap still going up when Dallas won 3 games.

they know the cowboys will be good for a while.
it is impossible to organize a boycott that would show up in the ratings.

how do you propose we collectively do that.
less than 1% of cowboys fans are on this board.

So true. I had a couple of friends tell me the Packers got screwed in the game too. Not like the Cowboys. Not even close. The penalty against Butler was the first time I've ever heard of that penalty. It's a ridiculous call that affected the game. Not 1 holding penalty against the Packers. I know of 2 blatant ones that everyone saw. The Cowboys got mugged all game. How many holding calls against the Cowboys did we see this year that should of never been called? There were so many big plays wiped out by flags. It's sickening

Someone needs to put together a video of the blunders and circulate it around twitter. String together previous unfairness against the team.

Hopefully it goes viral and gets the official fired or disciplined.

Then make it personal by naming the official and suggest reasons for why the cheating - gambling? relationship with other team owner or coach?

Except nobody worth a crap looks at Twitter. :D :p ;)

And then the NFL sends a cease and decist letter saying that all NFL film is trade marked or Youtube shuts it down when the NFL complains.

It's a nice thought don't get me wrong but it won't make a difference.

Heck, fans of every team complains about the calls for years and they still do not hire full time officials. Maybe if they did they would implement a tougher grading system that had stiffer repercussions for bad calls.

Come on BP, you're in IT. Make a script that just keeps on posting the same video all over the Internetz!

If you want to be mocked for being a crybaby fan by most people who see it, go for it. Every fan base has people who are positive the refs are out to cheat them. Fans of the other 31 teams don't take them seriously, either.

There isn't much that can be done about it. The game is too complex and moves too fast to expect over the hill bald guys with beer guts to do that much better. Maybe they could hire full time refs, but with video quality the way it is today and everyone with access to multiple slow motion replays on their smart phones almost instantaneously, officiating is bound to disappoint.
