He may not be drunk by the time the game occurred, but he was definitely drunk when he blew a 0.14. That is enough to significantly impair most people. Of course who knows what he would have done had he not been pulled over. He may have gone home and had a few more drinks and then been drunk on game day.

According to this calculator....a 300 lb man could drink 9 beers in one hour and only have a .10 BAC. So let's give credit was due....he drank a butt load to be .14. It also says your body can metabolize a drink per hour. Even giving him the benefit of metabolizing 2 beers and hour...he was still going to be drunk for a good 3-4 hours, assuming he wasn't planning to drink anymore that night.

I saw that the Chargers released LB Adrian Hamilton. He had quite a following here for having only been here one preseason. I thought we would rue the day he was cut. I guess not since two other teams (Balt and SD) have released him.

is he still injured?

"The Saints defender returned to practice on a very limited basis Monday for the first time in several weeks after missing the vast majority of practice time this training camp and every preseason game. He suited up, but didn't participate in team drills or individual pass rushing drills."

Report: Saints set to release linebacker Victor Butler

The New Orleans Saints signed linebacker Victor Butler a season ago with the hope he could become a significant contributor to their defense.

Ultimately, he may never play a down for the team.

According to Kristian Garic of 870 WWL in New Orleans, the Saints are planning to release Butler as a part of their cuts to get down to 75 players by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

Butler suffered a torn ACL after colliding with running backMark Ingram in practice in June 2013. He was placed on the physically unable to perform list with the hope his knee may somehow be able to recover in time for him to play down the stretch. That hope never materialized and Butler spent the entire season on the physically unable to perform list.

According to Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Butler returned to practice Monday after missing a significant amount of training camp with another issue, though this one was undisclosed by the Saints. The move to release Butler will save the Saints $1.5 million this season.

Butler’s last game action came with the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, where he appeared in all 16 games and recorded 25 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles.

Played with his hand on the ground in college right? I don't think he's healthy, but when he is, I'd definitely like to take another look. Hopefully the roster make up will allow it.

Always wanted to see him get in the game more. I love his rush skills.

So now we are going to bring in a 3-4 OLB and try to make him a DE without training camp or any real practice time.

Yeah. That's a good idea.

Yeah. That's a good idea.

Except that, like Anthony Spencer and Demarcus Ware, he was a 4-3 rush end in college.

Now that is a name I haven't thought of for a while. I really don't see us being interested but I suppose you never know. One very telling thing about the Cowboys - if we do bring him in what does that say about our current DE's?
