Sure do miss Chris Farley! Watched a documentary on him not too long ago. Sucks he had to have such a tragic ending.

FYI.. Roku gave me 2 months free of Paramount Plus. You might have the same offer if you use them.

P+ is basically Paramount movies, CBS, MTV, Smithsonian, BET, and a few other big hitters.

They have a few good exclusives like Evil, 1883 the Yellowstone prequel, and my new favorite comedy, Star Trek the Lower Decks. Basically it's Star Trek meets Futurama. A lot of making fun of the movies and the Trek genre.

Smithsonian documentaries are some of my favorites. If you like history, they have a great series on Hidden Film, which takes famous events and shows all the local and archives footage you haven't seen as well as some of the less heralded historic facts.

Also, I currently subscribe to that other new service, Peacock, and while I understand the Winter Olympics is the worst rated ever, I'm enjoying watching their Winter Olympics coverage at my leisure. Watched the entire Snowboard Slopestyle Finals. Always have fun watching the snowboarders.

I haven't seen any comments on season 6 of The Expanse. I started watching and after the first episode I recall why this series is such great science fiction. The cinematography, or CGI, is excellent and the story does not disappoint. It is clearly building to a big finishing episode, there are only 6 this season, but it is still an excellent watch. I cannot wait to watch the next episode and then all the rest after that.

We'll see where it goes but there is one new addition to the series that concerns me. For the first time they introduced a kid into the story. It is unclear what this character has to do with the rest of the series but this has always been about adult adventures. Kids can drag a show into quicksand. So far this character is only in the intro, and it could be a main character's childhood, we do not know yet.

There was discussion about this show. I believe it was all agreement that they did a very good job.
Don't worry about your concern in the spoiler.

Sorry to tell you this, but there are no more seasons of the Expanse. The final episode of the 6th season was made to be the series finale.

Yeah, I know. But I finished watching season season 6 and really liked it. A lot of series don't know how to end their final seasons, but the Expanse did a pretty good job for the most part. They left a couple of open questions but I can live with that.

The whole thing with the little girl seems completely out of left field, unless they're planning a spinoff or something.

Okay, so aside from the last scene when Naomi's son escapes from the his father's ship instead of dying, I am not sure I understand that entire season long thing about the little girl and the little boy who returned to life. What was that all about? They never really cleared that up. Was that supposed to be about the proto-molecule? Can we expect a movie in the future? Such a great show. I will miss it.

I feel like they might be planning something more, unless they were originally, but then decided not to go through with it. (See above spoiler)

I think the show's producers and writers were expecting more but from what I read the last season was shortened to 6 episodes from the original 10 planned and they were told it would be the last season.

There are rumors of a spinoff of some kind (likely with an earlier setting if it were to happen) but nothing official has been announced.

Still regarding The Expanse:
I don't know if they're planning a movie or spinoff, or if they had plans for the little girl's story, but scrapped it, or maybe it was just some type of artistic thing they added. I can't think of any relevance that little story had to the show.
