***Official Streaming Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and other streaming sites thread***

Just finished the final episode of 1883. It's a shame it's only slated for one season, because it's a very, very good show. The acting is excellent, by everyone in the cast, but I really hope this launches Isabel May into superstardom, because she was absolutely fantastic. I can't remember the last time I cared so much about any character in any TV show.

What is that on?

I highly recommend FROM. It's an Epix exclusive show. First 5 episodes are fantastic. Crazy premise, should check it out.

After watching the first episode of season 2 of Picard, I think this is going to be extremely intense.

I’m a bit surprised at the timing of release for Picard. Discovery is still premiering new episodes and it feels like Star Trek on Star Trek crime competing for views.

Anyone catch the season finale of Britannia? I though it was a disappointing cliffhanger ending for a series that has not yet been renewed.

I was actually kind of cringing when the lady of the house was leaning in and I thought her and picard were going to start making out.

Straw Dogs
2011 Movie. I have heard of the movie but really did not know what it was about.

Not a bad thriller/drama movie.

There are some movies when I watch them that I get angry at the characters. Where you want to put a bullet into the character (not the actor) or beat the ever loving ish out of them.

This is one of those movies for me...there were 2-3 people that made me feel like that.

Saw the first episode of Winning Time: The Ryse of the Lakers Dynasty on HBO Max. Good watch. Definitely made me wish there were more episodes. Has a funky style to it. On purpose grainy images to go with the times (starts in 1979) and most of the characters stop and talk to the camera at times.

It's based on the 80's Lakers and a book written by the same guy who I believe wrote that famous book about the 90's Cowboys. I can see why he wrote about both teams, the 90's Cowboys were a repeat of the 80's Lakers. Owner spends everything he has to fill his lifetime dream with a sport he loves. Hollywood lifestyle, too much skanks and boozing with the title team, and so on.....

I don't know if they're adding some CGI to do this, or they just got lucky, but the dude who plays Magic Johnson sometimes has an uncanny resemblance from certain angles. John Reilly does a great job as always, this time as the Lakers Owner, Dr. Buss. The Kareem moments are terrific, and how I picture him after reading the stories - an arsehole. LOL

The original with Dustin Hoffman directed by Sam Peckinpah was much better and I agree with the feelings evoked but the slow burn Hoffman did and his actions made it all worthwhile.
