Hmm, now that you mention it, it's like they changed their minds about where they wanted the previous season to steer the show, and used this season to turn it in a different direction. Everything else was just filler.
The Gray Man on Netflix. 6.5/10 Entertaining flick. Started off pretty good, but went off the rails, as if they were competing for the "Most Implausible Action Scenes" award. Had they cleaned up the story, replaced Chris Evans with a better actor, and made the action scenes more realistic, they could have made it a very good movie.
I liked the last season with more focus on the club itself and more interaction with the SOA MC. I get the dislike starting on the main characters, they're starting to crumble with the pressure of loyalty to the MC. They're changing and not in good ways, kinda reminds like the later seasons of SOA.

Watched the first 5 episodes of "The Sandman", really liking it so far. This was going to be a tough comic to translate into video, but think they have done a great job so far of capturing the feeling of the books. Sturridge really nails it as Morpheus and the cast overall has done a great job and enjoying the stories so far.
There has been some changes from the original source material, but honestly didn't feel it detracted from the stories. They still stayed true with the essence of the characters with the exception of Constatine. The gender swap wasn't necessary, but aside from that the personality for Constatine didn't feel quite right, supposed to be a dark, cynical person that has literally been to hell and back. I just didn't get that vibe from this character.
I finally finished watching Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ last night. And while I still found it enjoyable, I also starting getting the impression of ‘writers’ fatigue’ and a sense that there’s not many big ideas that they have left. It felt to me like they’re just rearranging the same pieces on the board. I hope I’m wrong about that.
I started watching "Becoming Elizabeth" on Starz. If you have never heard of it, it is a series about Queen Elizabeth I of England, or at least her life before ascending to the throne anyway. I think I must have been English in a previous life because I can never get enough of these shows about the English history. This version does a pretty good job sticking to the historical records, although some background music seems out of place in this period piece. It's also weird at times how the dialogue will seem modern at some point and then more authentic old English at others. They should refrain from using phrases we use today.
Overall, I am enjoying it. I am not sure there are any spoilers because it is all in this history books but I do have one quibble.
They are taking some liberties with the relationship between 14 year old Elizabeth and Thomas Seymour, the brother of Jane Seymour. Thomas married King Henry VIII widow Catherine Parr, who was a standing mother for young Elizabeth. There is no certainty about the relationship between Thomas and Elizabeth but I think the consensus is he was more of an abuser and Elizabeth was not a willing partner in his sexual behaviors. The show portrays it as more of a consensual relationship with Elizabeth madly in love with Thomas. This does not seem likely to me. Thomas Seymour was a known womanizer and user of women, like Catherine Parr, to get closer to the crown. Elizabeth, who was fluent in French, Italian, Dutch, and Latin by the time she was 12, was too smart for someone like him. I suspect the writers made it more of a romance to make the story more interesting, but it is a detail that I think is not minor. This show tends to make Elizabeth look stupid and naïve and she was anything but that.
This was actually a very interesting period in English history after Henry VIII died. If you like this sort of period story, I recommend it.
I was about to post something that I realized could be considered a spoiler. Can someone explain how that feature works? It's not immediately obvious to me.

Weird is a good description. I watched all of it and decided I liked it overall. Josh Brolin is a good actor in my opinion. Would be nothing without him.

There's also a toolbar in the reply box, the "insert" icon is just to the right of the emoji, pic, media buttons. Just press the "spoiler" choice and type your response within the brackets.
