I thought both catches were called correctly.

First one, the left foot was down first, then the right foot - possession and control were established before the ball moved slightly as it was already a catch.

Second one, the guy was a runner as he took three steps, he broke the plain = touchdown. Also, I don't even know if the ball ever clearly touched the ground.

Both were called touchdowns on the field, there wasn't clear and obvious evidence to overturn either.

Also, the refs blew the whistle a little early in the third quarter when the Eagles DB stripped the ball away from Patriots WR when the play didn't look to be dead.

Swings and roundabouts, Eagles deserved to win

 

[Verdict]

If The Hoodie was Garrett he would be getting crucified for not stopping a backup QB. The Hoodie didn't out inch anyone today.

Peterson mad what would be considered to be bad coaching decisions in going for it on 4th down but they worked out so he got bailed out.

The Eagles had some really bad play calling sequences when the had the ball near the end of the game. They gave the Patriots a chance and they blew it.

Both teams acted as if they didn't know what defense was in that game. For all the hype the Eagles had defensively coming in to the game they let the Patriots run wild.

There were a couple of catch/no catch calls that could have easily gone the other way. I don't care one way or the other but the officials called it the right way.
