It may seem like that now, but they have been playing NFL football since there were maybe 1,000 people there, and no TV, no internet, no message boards, no ESPN, no MNF, etc, on and on.
I get the feeling most NFL players would rather be doing this than any other job, .. and they would do it for far less if that was the case.
Chicken or the egg?, .. in this case, NFL football came before all of the fan frenzy.

It doesn't SEEM like that. It is like that. Even in those days, it was like that. The NFL came to be because of the fans and the Money it represented. Don't kid yourself here. The NFL almost folded up and died because they couldn't draw enough fans. That's why they paid college players to play football. It's always been about the fans and not about the game. If you wanted to make this kind of statement about College Football, I could agree. Not about Pro Football. That's always been about money and fans.

Idgit;3745309 said:Ok. Now I'm outraged. At this grammar. I bet Eagles players have better grammar than this.
ABQCOWBOY;3745145 said:Cowboys and Philly? Oh yeah you do.
Joshmvii;3745384 said:You're crazy if you think some of our players are not friends with players on the Eagles. You think D-Ware and Osi Umeniora suddenly hate each other after playing together in college? No. We're rivals during game time, but when the game is over they're just people.
Choice gave everything he had in the game, and once the clock hits zeros, you're done with work for that day and then they're just people until the next kickoff.
theebs;3745250 said:that post doesnt make any corelation to the autograph. Its the autograph that is the problem, on his home field in front of his home fans who just got their heart ripped out.
If he went over like many did and hugged vick no one would say anything, its the autograph and what that means that is the problem in that moment.
get the autograph in the lockeroom after or before the game. Not on the field after you just loss.

Don't much like Philly Ice.
:laugh2:
iceberg;3745414 said:oh, me either. but to pretend that every person should react the very same way you do is just idiocy in motion. i don't think they need to live behind walls and be "friends" in private just cause fans get rabid.
so he got an autograph that turns out to be for his nephew. big friggin deal. people just INVENT things to get worked up over and blow things way out of proportion.
gets old.
Joshmvii;3745424 said:Fans getting riled up over this are as bad as the ESPN crazies we're all typically complaining about. Choice apologized for it because he saw how much of a fuss people were making over it, but I guarantee you that's the only reason.
theebs;3745265 said:yeah it means something different on your home field after losing in that manner.
it seems rah rah from the fans and guys like me to say it, but its not right. Do it in the locker room.
