Official Tashard Choice Thread **MERGED**

To anyone who thinks that Choice getting an autograph from an opposing player after the game is over for his 2-year old nephew is worthy of any note whatsoever much less multiple pages of bellyaching:

Help me translate, .. are you ok with it or not?

I was just trying to make a little joke there guys.

I really don't think it was a bad CHOICE.

I honestly don't care. I laughed when I saw him do it.

Now if he would've pulled an Alex Barron and lost the game at the end and pulled that crap I would be the most angry person on here.

The worst part of it was Vick's expression when turning around to do it. The last thing he wanted to do was be stopped after the beat down on him he just got. The guy was in pain, it showed, and Choice was an inconvenience to him as he was making his way to reporters/off the field.

I agree that it may not have been the best way to handle it, but think about what you are saying. You are saying that the only thing Choice did wrong was to allow the camera to catch him getting the autograph, which means that the only issue is perception, not the act itself. Are we really saying perception is more important than the act?

Still, you have avoided the question I have been asking, which is why is the autograph for Choice's nephew such a negative thing for people to see, but all the players warmly hugging and laughing and cutting up together after the game is not.

By the way, I think it's BS to say it doesn't matter who the autograph is for. Anyone that wouldn't go out of the way for a child in the family more than just some acquaintnace doesn't rate very well in my book.

So Choice didn't think about the cameras and fan reaction before getting an outograph for his nephew. Is that really a big deal?

Me thinks you nailed it. :hammer:

Yup, perfectly fine with it. After the bitterest of losses, I see Cowboy players and coaches shaking hands with opponents, smiling laughing, probably sometimes making plans to meet for dinner or arrange family visits.

These guys may knock heads and even throw fists on the field, but off the field (aside from the occasional personal feud) they get along like any other folks.

I may feel bad after a loss, I'm sure the players feel bad (despite the smiles and hand-shaking) but the game is over, and all that counts is the next game.

Nope. I don't care whom he asks to sign what.

Unless it's a bad choice by definition because some fans will twist it way out of proportion. That puts it into the same category Tony Romo got into when he had the audacity to go to Mexico on his day off. I don't like to blame the players when fans freak out over nothing, but at some point it does actually become a distraction for everybody involved.

Good point. Stautner just made the statement that this is more perception than anything.

I also don't think Romo's trip had any thing to do with his play on the field. But because we loss, it was magnified out of proportion. Same here with the signature and the fact it was recorded for all to see and moan about.

But I will concede *gasp* this point. While I had no problem with it, I can see why people/fans think it was a bad idea given the moment it occurred and the perception it created.

I'm sorry...did Romo bring along Eli Manning on the trip?

Meh, I'm old school and all but Tchoice has shown he isn't the brightest before. I'm not thrilled he did it BUT he apologized and it's over IMHO. We have such bigger problems on this team than this gents...seriously.

I don't know about how bright Choice is, ... I've never thought he was dumb.

But I do think he has handled himself with a lot of integrity, character, and class.

And choices autograph pic is everyone's avatar!!! I mean I know players do it after and before games and all but ******** could choice not wait, that just gave them amo for the next forever years.

That was just pathetic. Hopefully his team mates gave him hell for it.

What Eagles board?

I could use a laugh. Or large quantities of alcohol...

Nawww Choice won't be here next season.

It wasn't a good look.

Even if he was doing it for publicity, it's not a good look for him or the team.

I think that may have wrote his butt right out of Dallas

along with his perfomance last night 16 yards on 7 carries

JAG

I guess you missed that the defense was generally in the backfield about the time Choice was getting the handoff.

What about all the Cowboy players that were chumming it up and laughing and hugging with guys on the Eagles after the game? They weren't even doing it as a favor to a 2 year old nephew. Should we run them all off too?

You are condemning the preferences of a 2 year old boy? Is that really what you plan to pass of as a real argument? Sorry guy, but that's pathetically weak.

As for Choice, the discussion about his abilities has been hashed and rehashed and I'm not going to rehash it now, but what in the world it has to do with being an uncle who is willing to do something for his nephew is beyond me.

I suppose you tell your nephews they are worthless pansies for liking Barney? What a great guy!
