Tell me how exactly was this team vastly more talented than 2014. This was essentially the same team as the 2014 team except you had Murray instead of Zeke. Dak didn't lose this game. He tied the game. What lost this game was the defense letting Rodgers throw a 20 yard pass at the end of the game.

Actually pretty easy. Better RB and the offensive line has two more years of experience playing each other. Plus Sean Lee was healthy for the entire season, including the playoff game.

Proud of what Dak accomplished yesterday. But this team was clearly more talented than the 2014 version.

Why? Because Jerry is the GM and owner. He isn't going anywhere. You are wasting your time and brain cells.
And there in lies the problem.

He and his family are not going anywhere and if they don't significantly change their ways then any discussion we have on this or any other board is a wast of time and brain cells.

You can try to ignore the elephant in the room, but he's still in the room.

Is this fantasy football? Dak's the quarterback, they lost and I'm sure this won't be the last time they lose a game with Dak at quarterback. Fact is the team has moved on with Dak, hopefully Romo will find a new team that is to his liking. Who cares what Romo could have done today, we have seen that movie for 10 years, and just how many championships did it get the team?

Yea, we have seen that movie for 10 years and they just did a remake with all new special effects and guess what happened?

Different cast of characters but the same ending................sometimes newer is not necessarily better, be it movies or starting QBs.

Change their ways how?

For starters:

Stop drafting players with high draft picks we cant use (3 TEs with 2nd round picks).

Stop drafting players with significant injury or injury history (Sean Lee/Jaylon Smith 2nd round picks)

Stop drafting players with significant off field problems (Randy Gregory 2 round pick)

Stop bringing in locker room cancers (Terrell Owens, Greg Hardy)

Stop relying on players that keep getting suspended (Rolando McClain)

I'm sure if I gave it more thought I could come up with more, but I'm sure you get the picture.

So it seems like it'll be very difficult to trade Romo. I bet most GMs are thinking he'll be a June 1st cut.

I think that should answer his question regardless of whether he truly had one or not.

But some of that has changed. Are you really going to kill them for their last couple of drafts? No team drafts perfectly and frankly the Cowboys have probably drafted better than most teams the last few years.

Sure they make mistakes, but overall, roster construction the last few years has been infinitely better than it was at times during the 2000s.

I think there has been a shift in thinking now that Stephen has more control.

Making mistakes is drafting the likes of Mo Caliborne or Bruce Carter.

All teams do it no drafting is perfect.

The rest is either gambling or not knowing what your doing.

It was only last year we picked Gregory and hired Hardy.

This year it was Smith.

Escobar is practically invisible while Bennett is playing in NE and Fasano is on the Titans.

These guys or the proper draft picks should have been contributing last night.

So what really has changed??

And of course this is only the draft, what about Jerry getting JG as Wade's OC before Wade was even hired?

Let's not pretend the list stops at the draft.

ROMO should be given the chance to compete with Dak for the starting QB position next season - that is not unreasonable - he has earned that at the very least... and YES, Romo would have won today - for those who think Dak's rookie mistakes (notwithstanding our D's many mistakes and the BAD calls) didn't cost us 4+ points - are you kidding me?

I wish someone would post the video of malcom Jenkins talking about diff between Dak n Romo...and it shows how you don't get experience over night...when Romo was healthy he should have started and dak should have sat on the bench gracefully as Romo did....

Sorry this team let you down Tony. For all the games you physically gave everything you had to this team. Literally. Winning games with serious injuries. I truly will be watching whatever team you go to next year and wishing you well.

I'm not saying you could have done better than 3-11 on passes over 10 yards for 3 quarters yesterday, but I guess we'll never know, right?

Forgetting that Butler dropped a TD off his hands, T Will let one bounce off his chest and Witten was tripped up on another miss?

My bet is he goes to Denver.

Out of the NFC, and chance to get a ring....

Hopefully either via trade or $$$ saved ( if possible) by release we shore up the D with the asset acquired

Denver makes sense. Depending on the injuries and healing time tables I think the Raiders or Titans are a possible landing spot.

Also factor in NYJ, Buffalo, and Minnesota
