My bet is he goes to Denver.

Out of the NFC, and chance to get a ring....

Hopefully either via trade or $$$ saved ( if possible) by release we shore up the D with the asset acquired
I can see that or Houston

If it's a trade, I'm saying the jets.
If it's a cozy, thank you tony release
Well who knows but Houston makes the most sense

If i'm Romo, I play for the Vets minimum on a team that has an elite defense..Why did Dak lose yesterday? Defense right? Go to a team that has an elite defense and Romo has a better chance than Dak next year.
you guys seem to think Romo only wants money but at this point, legacy is more important to him IMO. One ring gets him into the hall of fame. He has already made his money and will probably get a TV gig after he retires... Romo, my man, play for the vet min on a contending team and get yourself that ring..
I agree about the defense.
But I don't see people saying Romo only wants the money. I don't think hardly anyone thinks that.
That for sure is not one of his main criteria.

His issue already is that he's strong on loyalty. He was just saying a couple of years ago how odd and superficial it would feel if he went somewhere as a rent-a-QB and won a title, then moved back here where he hopes to make his long term home and raise his kids.

He may feel differently now though. Don't know.

If the Cowboys release Romo, that means he could go anywhere. Right?

The Commanders might be interested. I don't think they are sold on Cousins.

Yeah, as a free agent he could pick his place at that point. I think the Broncos will be interested, they just dont want to give up a pick (or at least are saying they wont at this point). They could change their tune later if there are rumors that other teams (that Romo would consider) are interested when that time comes. Romo wont agree to a trade to a non-contender and Jerry wont try to ship him to Cleveland or some similar team no matter how bad some here hate that fact. Ill be shocked if this doesnt end with his release.

I say Broncos, Texans, Chiefs.....possibly Dolphins.

After this latest playoff letdown, Andy Reid has to be looking at their QB situation and wonder if they need to upgrade Alex Smith to get to the next level. I want to say they don't owe him any more guaranteed money too. To me this makes the most sense for both Romo and KC.

I thought Alex played well last night. He was pretty aggressive with the deep ball but his receivers let him down. Kelce dropped a beauty down the field.

If you're the Commanders, do you want to commit 20 million per year to Cousins, or let him walk and bring in Romo while drafting another young QB?

Sorry....so sick of the whining and blame game over yesterday's loss that I decided to bring more pain.

Any fraction of hope for Ring of Honor would be gone, that's for sure.:muttley:

No FO trades anything for an aging, fragile QB with a bloated contract and a history of losing the big games. He will get released and maybe signs as a 1 yr insurance policy with a club with a shot at the SB. He may just end up retiring a Cowboy as he should. There is no big money or great deals in Tony's future.

Alex Smith can play well at times, but just not consistent enough. Unless you have a defense like the Bronco's have, a QB that can play well isn't good enough. Throwing for under 200 yrds with a TD and INT isn't going to cut it when you're trying to win a championship.
