NO doubt about that. By all accounts he is hyper competitive. Always looking to compete at something. So yes, if he can't lead the Cowboys to a title, he would want to beat his friends more than any other team, I'm sure...especially given how things went down.

I'm sure a few of his favorite scenarios in order are
  • Start on a Super Bowl Cowboys team
  • Start on a Super Bowl other team
  • Start on a lesser team
  • Ride the bench in Dallas
And other scenarios in between...
Retire would be scenario. #10

The dark horse is Washington. An absolutely perfect situation for him but a less than perfect situation for the Cowboys.

They need to get a trade partner to take at least half or his salary. That should be something they can do.

I don't believe anybody in the league thinks he can stay healthy long enough to do them any good so a trade is probably out of the question so Romo will end up wherever Romo wants to end up

Correct me if I'm wrong but a trade doesn't remove a lot from the books if at all. A post June 1st cut could be spread over two years though helping a lot
most likely romo would have to redo his deal to be traded

Correct, so unless we get a decent pick for him, releasing him could easily be more valuable for next season.

Well, a 5th or maybe a 4th according to ESPN...

They are full of you know what, Romo and JJ are pretty close, and if he wants to keep looking like some magical owner thats just a big sucker for guys that put the work in, Romo goes anywhere he wants. Saying that, if philly can get what they did for Sam...we deserve something if we can pull it off.

yeah, I'm not giving away a top 10 qb for nothing, at least wait til training camp and see if someones starter gets hurt like Bridgewater this year

That's not happening, they will either have to trade him which I doubt because they can't afford the cap hit or designate him as a June 1st cut and spread his cap hit over two years.....

And how do you know this? I think their personnel on offense suits him perfectly. He would have a solid line and receivers galore.

Two of those wide receivers are free agents (the starting two), as well as a tight end who had 44 catches this season.

Not saying you're wrong necessarily, just pointing that out.
