Or if a team senses fear, it will sit back until time runs out and we ask for a 4th round pick for Romo.

Romo would be perfect in Devner. If Lynch isn't ready yet, sitting a year or two behind Romo could do wonders.

Would be surprised if he ends up in Denver because they like both Lynch and Siemian who are young developing QBs. He would hinder the progress of both QBs and wouldn't have very good job security with them sitting behind him. Romo would be nothing but a stopgap for a year if he ended up in Denver. He's also never been a good cold weather QB. I doubt he wants to go to a team where he's just going to be keeping the seat warm for a year for Lynch. They can't just put Lynch on the back burner for a couple more years and not play him.

We don't have to restructure anything to release or trade him. We save 5 mill in cap space.

Why is it so hard for people to grasp this?

Uhh I know that, but it's 14 million to franchise Leary, making Romo a June 1st cut saves us even more money

Denver is saying that they are not interested in Romo, but don't believe that. Elway would be crucified if he went into next season with Siemien as his starter and Lynch still a greenhorn. Siemien is what he is.....a true 7th round pick and plays like one. Lynch needs some seasoning for next couple of years. Enter Peyton, I mean Tony and the Broncos are legit in the AFC West once again. Right now, the Chiefs and the Raiders are better.

Tony will be traded. Heck I would even settle for just changing #1 picks with Denver-----go up to #20. And a third round pick.

Or as posted elsewhere Tony for Aqib their Corner... Get a quality CB and cap space to use if his contract isn't in the Romo league

AZ should dump Palmer for Romo, that would be his best fit. They're not getting anywhere with Palmer, Romo would be a better option. AZ was the best team not to make the playoffs, they were top 10 offensively and defensively. Romo is more efficient than Palmer who only had an 87.2 passer rating this season, plus Romo throws more TD's.
Someone may take on 1/2 of Osweiler's money.... trickle down QBs

I think he's released unless we get an offer we can't refuse.

From what I see, we gain 14M in cap room if he is a June 1st cut. If we want to try to add talent into defense, 14M will help more than an extra 4th round pick.

But free agency starts early March. The added 14 mil to the cap space probably won't have as much impact in adding talent to our defense because the prized free agents usually sign within the first week. The cream of the crop will be long gone by June 1.

Something would have to be done to fit Romo in. There's probably a better chance he ends up in Houston than in Denver. I'm sure the Texans lost some confidence in Osweiler this past season and might feel Romo could get them over the top but Osweiler is guaranteed 16 million next season. Should be an interesting off-season.

Well they are 26m under right now with Osweiler and a dozen contracts they can restructure

If someone takes on Osweiler it is an easy fit and not impossible if they keep Oz

We've been over this before, we'll find out during the offseason.

Romo probably ends up getting Bledsoe'd for the 2nd time in Denver since they have 2 young QBs with potential.

My Top 5 Romo plays:
1. 2007 playoffs - Backed up on his goal line, pivoted beautifully to his left and delivered a GREAT side arm/under handed throw that split two defenders and hit Crayton in stride. He dropped it. Had nothing but daylight in front of him. Would've been on Romo's highlight reel. Now it's forgotten.

2. 2006. Tony's first 'loss'. This pass would've been a game winner. Cowboys at about their 30 or so, Romo unleashes a beautiful deep ball that dropped down from the heavens that hit a striding Terrell Owens' out stretched hands. Owens dropped the ball.

3. 2013. Damn near every throw vs the Broncos. The TD to Williams is my particular favorite.

4. The last play @ Washington in 2013

5. 2007. Second game vs Giants. They wore their 'red' jerseys because they were pissed about their opening night loss to us. One of my favorite Cowboys games ever. Romo's deep TD pass to Owens that pretty much put the game out of reach.

Fair & Balanced

No matter what you think of me, believe me I felt bad for Tony Romo not being able to play on Sunday. The week that it was inevitable that it was Daks job, that was a sad and depressing week for me. I did my damndest to avoid all media that week. Didn't want to hear it...Didn't want to see it!

Totally wrong about it being on the goal line. Beautiful play, still
