On thefan, Romo praticed as holder for folk

Yes let's get the starting QB to hold not Kitna, Crayton, or Mcgee...:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

They tried Crayton during camp he did not do a good job at it. As for McGee he is the emergency QB so if you add him to the active roster then you lose a spot somewhere else. I'm not thrilled about having Romo back there because I fear an overzealous player going for a block kick knocking Romo out. As for being able to do the job I have no doubts about Romo doing it well.

I've never seen a team struggle so much to find a freaking holder. **** like this is why I just wanna punch some of these morons in charge of this team.

What I can't believe is that they haven't fixed this before. You could argue that we might have won 1-2 more games if we had a proper holder. This coming from idiots that wasted a roster spot on Johnson last year because he was an indispensable holder. Hopefully this will make a big difference - missing filed goals and surrendering good filed position is another momentum killer our mistake-prone team can do without.

Buehler?

Buehler?

Buehler?

What's wrong with having the starting QB hold? It's been done before. I always thought that was so stupid to blame Parcells for that.

I wish we could find someone else to do it, hate putting my starting QB back there.
A lot of people agree with you, but I don't know why. I think it's extremely rare for the holder to get hurt (can't even tell you one that has), so I don't worry about injury. If Romo were a rookie or second year QB, I could understand not wanting to burden him with resposibilities outside of learning his postion, but with Romo, that's not the case. To me, it's an advantage having a QB there in case a pass has to be made (such as on a botched snap/hold, as happened earlier against Seattle...even though that didn't go our way, our chances were better with Romo than it would have been with the punter in the same situation) or you want to fake a FG and go for a 1st down. Maybe someone can school me on why the disadvantages outweigh the advantages (consider that Romo has experience...it's not like you have to start from scratch with him).

I hate the guy, but Theismann was probably the best holder I ever saw play.

Good move but why does it take basically a disaster and the media jumping all over Wade to get stuff like this done?

Your right it is rare and if he has to he has to but if I had my rather I would rather see someone else do it. I'm not as upset as some about Romo taking that role on because I know he can do it. However it is not by accident that most starting QB do not hold.

Galloway is saying it's done, that Romo will be holding Sunday.

So who brought up the seattle play first.

Fitzsimmons or mosley?

He was really good at it and when the play breaks down, there's no one else I'd rather have back there trying to make something out of it than Romo.

Do you have any stats to back this claim up?

Actually, Galloway is blaming Folk for being a whiner and making excuses, while Mosley is arguing that Folk didn't suddenly go south for no reason. :)

Because McBriar is a "Galloway Guy", you see, and they must always be defended no matter what.

It's so lame.

But interestingly, Mosley said McBriar was never really comfortable with the job and even Galloway agreed with that.

Watch out, Tony. You're next on the list of excuses.

what a ****ing joke. the guy has enough on his plate and now he's gotta hold cause our overrated punter can't even do that. all he can do is kick it far he can't even pin the other team inside the ten. morons everywhere when it comes to this team. smh
