yeah, risk your franchise quarterback's confidence for a kickers confidence.

I'm curious about this for sure but how would being asked to be the holder possibly affect the confidence of Romo and his QB play?

He was really good at it and when the play breaks down, there's no one else I'd rather have back there trying to make something out of it than Romo.

Right on the money.

if he drops another hold he's done. his confidence will be broken and not fixable. I can't believe this is even a situation. this team is so stupid they can't find anybody to hold for fgs except their 70 million dollar franchise qb.

No problem with this at all. I have full confidence in Tony as holder.

it's not funny! i'm so pissed right now at the sheer stupidity of this so-called "pro football franchise". every year it's something new for us to be a laughing stock.

If he's that fragile, how did he survive the last bobbled snap? The five interception game (and manage to win it in the end)? The three interception Giants debacle where everyone was calling for his head?

I think Romo is a lot more resilient than you are giving him credit for.

and now he's the starting qb. that job belongs to backups and special teams players. why is this team so stupid? this should not even be a situation.

Romo holding is the big elephant in the room. I guess we are just getting in the December spirit (failure not Christmas).

Maybe we can sign pacman off the streets cause Newman is injured now.

I think many of us are not getting the point here. You don't put your "starting franchise QB" down to hold for FGs. God forbid some special teams yahoo busts through the line and crushers Romo's right shoulder or something trying to go Superman into the kick.

Should be interesting... Never a dull moment in Michelinland.

That's complete idiocy. If he could be broken by now, he would have been. He's not some sissy in a flouncy blouse that can play with the big boys.

Get a grip.

I can't believe it's really come to this.

I'm not happy that our starting QB, whose biggest failure as a professional came on a botched hold, has to go back there. That's not a starter's job.

I'm not even concerned about the cracks that are sure to come from ESPN and the haters, but they'll be unbearable the next few days.

Well at this point, it doesn't sound like the Cowboys have a lot of choices. I'm not sure what the right answer is, but with Folk hitting ~50% of his kicks, what we are doing now certainly isn't it. I do know one thing, teams don't win Super Bowls with a kicker at that success rate.

Yeah... Because FG holding is such a high-risk position.

And Parcells had Romo do it, too. Were you *****ing about it then?

Like Hos said, Theisman did it for years. There's not a thing wrong with having the QB hold if he's the best on the team at it.

Yeah.. I'm going to hear about this at work for the rest of the week...

If Romo is the holder I'm switching my vote to fire Wade.

This is a huge step backwards.

he's got enough pressure on him as it is. 53 guys on this roster and our 70 million dollar franchise qb is the only one the buffoon of a HC could find to hold for a fg? what a joke

yup. maybe this team really isn't that talented since only 1 guy can catch a football and put it down for a fg.

i'm gonna laugh if he jams a finger catching the snap for a hold.
