You have it backwards, you see what you want to see, I see what happened on the field last season.

And you honestly see the offensive line costing the team 7 games and a playoff spot?

Get the glasses checked Junior, kicking cost this team more than the much-maligned line ever could.

Where did I say that? I will say that O-Line play lost us the Giants game, the Rams game, and the Raiders game.

I can gurantee it, just like I can gurantee Randy Moss will be better than Patrick Crayton and just like I can gurantee than Peyton Manning will be better than Drew Bledsoe. Some things are just that obvious, this being one of them.

Again, you cannot GUARANTEE NOTHING!

Randy Moss could wreak a motorcycle into Manning's car, and they could both be out for the season!

Now, can you GUARANTEE that both those players will be better the Crayton and Bledsoe...

Get it...

Where they would have lost very quickly. You dont win in the playoffs with good line play on both sides of the ball.

And yet they still would have defeated the Seahawks - in Seattle - with that "terrible line" if Cortez makes his kick?

The same great Seattle team that nearly won the big game?

Like I said, you see what you want to see, I see what happened. And in case you missed it, so does the head coach - you know the guy who gets paid to do it.

I admit I have some concerns about the O-line and while I hope to see improvement I'll take the wait and see approach. All too often we have been told how good the line was going to be then we hit reg season and have not lived up to the billing. I try not to be pessimistic but I am at the point that these guys up front need to go out and show me they have improved. I have seen these feel good stories way too many times in the past these guys need to get it together.

OK, that's a 13-3 record with the "terrible" line, where did the other losses come from?

Seattle was playing on another level at that point, we would not have beaten them in Seattle for the NFC crown.

Yes, because O-Line play is our only weakness

Anytime ANY aspect of your team loses 3 games by itself, something is seriously wrong.

So.........We were 9-7, a couple of "kicks" away from 11-5.Had our OL been "healthy"; we'd probably be 12-4, maybe 13-3.Add to that T.O. and a better defense...oh, and an "improved" OL.....We are going to be Super Bowl contenders next season?

Look at the Steelers O-Line last year, or the Patriots the year before, or the Buccanears two years before, etc.

Now compare those to our line

Get it?

That Bucs Oline sucked. Trust me, they got more credit than they deserved. How many players from that offense are still on the team? Pittman....who else Alstott...Bad analogy.

No, because you say so, right?

Just like the rest of your pointless argument on these pages, to heck with reality, it's all about your opinion.

Seattle did nothing against the Cowboys all day. Despite the "awful" offensive line they had to play that day and the Cowboys' offensive struggles. Shaun Alexander was MIA, a non-factor against the Cowboys. He tore up the league and did nothing against the Cowboys.

I'll give you what Dallas did or didn't do based on what happened last year.

You throw out your nonsensical opinions and think they're true.

Like talkin' to the wall......

Yes.

You have summed up my belief on the subject completely.

My contention is that last year's team - warts and all - was an 11-5 ballclub with even decent kicking.

They played with the league's best teams last year - among them the two from the NFC Championship Game.

Even with the same "bad line" they've improved in many other areas.

I say right now that barring serious injury they win it all.

The NFL is very hard to predict. If it were easy I'd quit my job and fill in cards for a living. Even the optimists realize there are serious question marks on our o-line and we're likely to go as far as the OL takes us. That doesn't mean the line has to be KC Southwest but at least adequate to good.

Can anyone say either way whether that's going to happen? Don't think so. IMO it's more fun as a fan to be a "hope for the bester" (that's hope not fantasy island) than to be the skunk at a lawn party. This thread has a whole lot of over the top posts in both directions.

Nobody know if the Cowboys are going to the SuperBowl!

Any other stupid questions? :)

I agree. My hope is the line is much improved and my fear is it won't be. Like you said we go as far as the OL takes us. I have seen the comments that if we make some kicks here or there we make the playoffs last season but even if we did I don't think last season line could have stopped the likes of the Giants,Skins and Bears. G-men ran all over our OL. Getting to the playoffs is one thing but just remember once your there your going to face some tough defense and you better have the O-line to make the offense run.
