Don't know the details about how the program actually works.... but if he's been fighting the suspension since April, would the team know about it at that point? If so, why wouldn't they make a CB a higher priority in the draft?

Hence the dumb front office .....

I don't like Scandrick, Never had.. But, this is ridiculous.. 4 games over an ecstasy pill? I mean, isn't that what a Molly is? That is what I read.. If so, this is completely ******** by the NFL.

I followed the train of comments, up to X's definitive posting...and used what was being presented. Reason? Because that is how a discussion progresses.

To be factual, actuall proof presented hasn't yet entered the definitive arena of what was and what was not involved, at least until further documentation is posted. Just for a starter. By what is presented up to this point, Mr. Clairvoyant, is not definitive yet.

The actual comment by Jerry, was that a suspension was in effect. And that stopped short of a declared and actually abused drug. Until you present such corroboration, that is open to a view.

Banned substance was enough for myself. I'm familiar with a wide spectrum of abused substances, due to my participation in that identification and resolution process. That isn't what I was approaching although.

If a girlfriend is being hid behind, I'm not a good enough 'ol boy to change an opinion to that he was unfortunate and sucked in.

If you have proof to substanciate a stance on what to now is a line of projection...bring it out.

But a non-prescription drug would move considerations into criminality...as he still is held accountable for standards on this side of a border crossing.

Actually I believe that drug is decriminalized in Mexico. I expect his girl bought it there as it is muy easy to get drugs in most resorts.

Which of the two sides do you think would be pushing for stricter punishments when it comes to potential crimes being committed? The NFL would love to able to protect "the shield" but the NFLPA traded certain concessions there for a smaller piece of the money pot.

Because it is 4 games? Because we haven't given up on Mo?

two totalyy different issues. the drug, from all reports is molly which is a street drug but because it is a stimulant it is also considered a ped. ped violations are covered under the cba. the rules are clear and there is little disrection. rice issues are not covered so clearly by the cba and the punishment is discretionary. can't compare the two at all

Justice to a lawyer is highly relevant and at issue at every level. Unequal values in administration in punishment, does not escape a judicial view and rendering. That is a part of the checks and balance system held in this country at least.

Taking ecstasy at a club one night gets you a four game suspension. Taking a swipe and knocking out your fiance gets you two games. Uh yeah that seems fair.......smh.

It is probably going to be a long year for this defense with or without Orlando Scandrick. He has been doing well during training camp and has emerged as somewhat of a leader, but after watching him for the last six years the man is not a world beater. He has been mediocre at best. Of course, being mediocre on this defense is something that is sorely needed.

He was continually in rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. No, son, that was tragedy. You did the connections of what was stated, YOURSELF.

If you really wish a venting, do a pm...or just shut the hell up on your present directions. I have a home address and you are welcome to arrive at my front door, anyting. And take that any way your heart desires...balls in your court now.

But for the record, what Orlando Scandrick did, was on par with a party level athlete...I don't have time for a cheat or arrogance in it's defense. Brent shows contrition, and I would take him in a fox hole in a minute.

I only stated that saying that Scandrick partying in Cabo was stupid because of the cartels was not accurate and you came back with a dissertation explaining the history of mob and drug cartels ties to the mining and export of precious metals that I frankly did not get. Not to mention somehow including and mocking Robin Williams death in your essay.

And believe me, after reading your last couple of posts the last thing I would do is show up at your front door as I would probably get shot and I like my life.

Not true. PED violation is 4 games on first positive. #factcheck
Can you provide a page reference within the NFL Substance Abuse policy for that stipulation? Or is the stipulation within the CBA or other policy?

Not even close, I just understand that their CBA is more complicated than people like to throw out there. I think it is lazy for people to blame the league for Rice's suspension versus drug/PED suspensions, when Rice had his charges dropped. That to me is a flaw in the judicial system, not in the NFL. The personal conduct suspension only has so much teeth to it when you have a case that has the charges dropped.

No, partying as Scandrick did, was doubly stupid. First, in violating standards binding upon him, back in the United States. But behind the scene, even more stupid in retrospect and inspection.

Who does anyone think is behind the illegal or abusive conduct that can be called upon in cash flow areas such as a resort? No second guessing here, Cartels take away from all lucrative business ventures. If it is a good enough return, then there is leeway as to 'procurement' methods of cash.

The Cartel respects nothing beyond a cash flow basis...and even walk in and use property belonging to someone else, and dares them to intervene. That is why the lush setting doesn't hide the strings being pulled behind the scenes. But where one has a dominant and criminal element, then rogue and in Mexico, barbaric tactics are also used. A show of force, and an athlete as well, could end up dead and along the side of a road...because too much FBI and CIA activity would crimp there style in a major way. With focus along the border already, and due to rampant and brutal activities from Mexico down into South America, it is generally kept under cap.

But a girlfriend purchasing some on the scene drug, doesn't hide the player from being a possible target for being seized and an exhorbitant ransom demanded. That is the connection.

Then the scenario where a connection of deterioration of large businesses are starting to become frequent. Now what does that mean when the sources behind those business were criminal at the start? This, they will return to methods that secured the cash cows in the first place. Patying just doesn't hide one from harms way. No matter how sweet in the now, she may look.

As to a personal side, if your own angers are subsided, fine. I don't even own a weapon, myself. But my home is well protected with a vigilant pride at the door.

Frankly I think anyone going into Mexico anymore deserves what they get. Just like that idiot that went to North Korea and then whines when he is grabbed.

This suspension really stinks, but I have to say, I'm really glad to hear he wasn't playing so well because of hardcore PED use. That'd have been pretty demoralizing.

I'd like to think they learned that you're much better off focusing on the line of scrimmage than wasting more high picks on cornerbacks.

They probably didn't, but I like to think it.

Read the thread to understand how street drugs are sometimes PEDs

There's a difference in how you report it, however. Obviously I know that Adderall can be considered a street drug and a PED, but when you say "street drugs" it makes it sound like O-Scan is some sort of pill-popper.

At least when you say PEDs, it lends the mind to believe that he was seeking a competitive edge or advantage, physically on the football field.
