If you can't see that Lamb is a legit #1 WR, I can't help you.

Just for comparison, Julio Jones had 959 yards receiving, Lamb had 935. In his second year Jones had 1,198, Lamb had 1,102.

So, as far as WRs drafted in the 1st round, he's playing like one of the best.

I don’t care about receiving yards lol….that’s like using tackles to tell me how good Jaylon Smith was. You can’t help me lol. I already said that. It takes more to be a #1 than just receiving yards. How do you show up in big moments? How many touchdowns do you have? Are you helping your quarterback out? Do you disappear at times? Being #1 on the depth chart doesn’t mean you are one. You still have to show it.

It's very clear. He's not only number 1 on our team. He has the potential to produce in the top 3 in the league, possibly number 1.

CeeDee Lamb is a number one WR all day any day, and twice on Sundays.

To be a #1, a WR must consistently create separation. That's what we don't know yet.

If Gallup comes back healthy I feel decent about this group. Not much depth at TE though.

That is exactly what you said. #1's must constantly create separation. But the truth is a #1 has to have the complete trust of his QB. Can the QB trust this guy to run the correct route, at the correct dept, to be on time with the throw and make the tough catch?

Remember Troy telling the story about how he made up his mind to just trust Harper on the quick slant against SF. Harper wasn't a #1 because Troy didn't completely trust him. Getting separation is just icing on the cake. Trust is the big cog in the clock.

Lamb has shown that he is capable of making those tough catches. His route running and his timing with Dak will get better as they move forward together. That trust between QB and WR, Dak and Lamb, showed up big, at times last year.

And as far as you thinking Lamb may not be able to constantly get separation...go back and look at his highlights. How many times the you hear the announcers say...wide open CD Lamb?

The parts Dak and Lamb that they might struggle with is play calling. Certain routes can beat double teams deep, but Moore doesn't incorporate those routes into his play calling very often. So Moore needs to call those routes more often or move Lamb around. Given the fact Jerry put Lamb in the number 88, Moore needs to find a way to feed him or lose his job.

So Lamb can constantly get separation, he can make the tough catches and Moore has to feed him. The absolute complete trust between QB and WR is the only thing that can hold these guys back. But I don't think it will. Because they'll build that trust with time.

Gallup is going to be out at least 6 games due to injury and we haven’t seen Tolbert take a snap yet. And Lamb will be going up against #1 CB’s this year.

Last years receiving corps were definitely top 10. Little early to be making these claims this year. But training camp is a time for renewed optimism.

If those reports are coming from the Joneses, you can't put any stock in that. Booger is ego driven enough to think his optimism can actually accelerate the healing process.

And they need to be prudent and not like they were with Miles Austin. Where caution should rule, cash does.

Not coming from Jerry. Austin had hamstring issues and those are always tricky. On Gallup I would not be surprised if he is not ready opening day, however not expecting 4 to 6 weeks either. We will see how things go. I'm not a doctor and not close enough to the situation to know where Gallup is in the rehab process.

They know what they have in a healthy Gallup but to find out about those other two early in the season and get Tolbert some real game experience could be a long haul advantage.

I have seen many excuse Washington in PIT because of a WR logjam and Roethlisberger. If that is fact, they will need Tolbert to step up and Gallup step in. Or they need the Laurent Robinson effect with Washington. He connected better with Romo in less time than Keyshawn, Owens or Bryant.

Absolutely, I knew they were not letting him walk when they didn't even try to keep Wilson or Turner.

He was a bargain at 11M for this season.
