I don't know. That will all depend on how our defense does and whether or not Patmon and/or Jones can fill in for Scandrick. Hopefully this will finally be our year.

I'd love nothing more than to see the lights click for Michael and have him run it down Seattle's throat on the way to the Super Bowl.

Only time will tell but I'm certainly feeling better about our running game than before today minus the Dunbar situation.

In my opinion the RB situation was never in DIRE situation. The FO simply fortified our running game. And I don;t have to wait and see on our defense they are being coached up by Marinelli and we have much more talent. Not even questionable.

I wouldn't really say that. None of these RBs have done squat on the field for any considerable length of time.

What could really top what the FO has done this year would be for them to acquire a swing OT.

That would REALLY put the cherry atop the cake! (Not that they haven't done great already . . .)

I largely agree
2 positions I'm still worried about

1. Back up qb
2. PR/KR

When those are the only two positions you are worried about, then you know your team is in good shape. Barring injuries, this could be a team of destiny.

It doesn't matter if everyone salutes the first round pick, if he busts then he was a bad decision.
Do people honestly think this way? There's logic, and then there's this type of backwards thinking. Try playing poker this way. "Hey, I lucked out going all in with a 9-5 off suit, but since it worked out it was the right decision." They call people like this suckers.

One thing I forgot to add is back up swing tackle

I have been critical in the past. But I have agreed with every move ourFO has made. From not overpaying for an injury prone RB. To drafting/signing 3 first round talents. To locking up Cole and Dez. To taking a chance on a tone setting all pro DL And now trading a 7th for a RB more talented than any RB in this draft not named Gurley or Gordon. Kudos. I could not be happier with this offseason.

Front office did a great job this year!, excited for this season, is this the most talented team since '95?

Yes. My backwards thinking of results matter.

I can't really look at any decisions they made and say they were poor. They stayed disciplined, followed a plan, and set the team up for future success. Look I would have loved to have gotten a RB I can trust to replace Murray, but when Melvin Gordon didn't drop into their laps what do you do?

They took steps to improve the defense, actually worked to improve the OL where possible and seem to know where they want to go.

People are going to complain about what they DIDNT do but you can't do it all. Part of strategy is making a hard decision on where you aren't going to focus, to calculate where you will be weak and where you will be strong, not try to be perfect everywhere. Sure - if Romo goes down and we have to play Weeden we may be screwed. We may not get out of September with 400 yards rushing. But we should be a better passing team than we have been in 2-3 years, and our defense is actually setup to defend against good QBs for the first time in a while. The front office has done its job well. Players still must execute.

Simple minds require the easiest route, I suppose.

Everything worked out so I must have made the right decision!

Anybody can make the popular decision. Take a poll. Let public opinion think for you. If you draft a player and he doesn't produce for you it was a bad decision. It's as simple as that. Results on the field are all that matters and to suggest otherwise is complete and utter nonsense.

Do you think that GMs are fired when they made correct decisions, and didn't get results, or when they made a different, potentially incorrect, decision, and got good results?

It's a results oriented business - Bobby Beathard made what was considered widely as a very good decision in selecting Ryan Leaf #2 overall in 1998, and it blew up in his face. Tom Braatz made what was considered a sage selection when he picked Tony Mandarich #2 overall in 1989, and it ended up costing him his job.

Why? Because they didn't get the results of making the "correct" decision.

Very well stated. Thank you sir. Thank you!

Look, I get being excited about the FO making "good moves" but please stop it with the over the top hyberbole about Michael being better than any runner in this draft save two.

If he were that, I doubt the Seahawks FO, one that has been to consecutive conference championships, would just give up on him.

True statement about the Hawks FO.

I like the trade but it remains to be seen what he contributes..like the others.

Let's wait until we know what this team is going to do in responding to the obvious pressure coming from winning the division last year.

Unfortunately we have seen this team shrink from the big spotlight before.

Strong performances in 2007 and 2009 were followed by steps backward the next season.

Our teams have a tendency to underachieving when the pressure increases.

So while I like alot where things have gone..

we are still along way from being the Packers or Patriots.

We'll see.

No one said anything about popularity. That's just something you threw against the wall because you didn't have an argument.

If Randy Gregory were a popular pick, he'd been taken higher. If La'el Collins were popular, he'd have been drafted at all. If Greg Hardy were popular, he wouldn't be on the team. If they did the popular thing at RB, Murray would still be on the team. If they made the popular decision at corner, Claiborne and Carr would have been cut already.

You're far too transparent.
