yup teams only attack one side of the line in the nfl... you're right. I know if we played the ravens, demarcus ware wouldn't even look at the qb's blindside... /sarcasm

post the stats from the rest of the ravens' line

They could play better that is for sure but they aren't "horrible" like the OP states, end of thread.

period point blank.

I was pretty high on Marc Colombo, but the fact is despite his mauling style, he is just as big of a liability as Flozell Adams.

They give up way too much pressure.

This entire line gives up way too much pressure.

Its as if we dont have a single player who excels in pass protection...

I wonder how much better we would be on offense if our line could pass block.

If they were "horrible" we wouldnt have been 11-5, had a top ranked offense, won the division and blew out a hated divisional rival twice at the end of the season.

We probably wouldnt have won the game, but losing Adams in the Vikings game killed us. Bringing Colombo back for the playoffs didnt hurt us much vs Philly, but he clearly was nowhere near 100% and a major liability vs Minnesota.

That said, I dont have any illusions that Adams and Colombo are not upgradable, especially at their age. But to siggest they are "horrible" is just plain dumb.

The ravens line got Flacco sacked more times than Romo, but the sieve wasn't Gaither, who is legit a great offensive tackle.

That is 14 of his 36 sacks.

add 4 to gaither, 1 to marshal yanda, 1 to todd heap, 1 to ray rice, 2 to leron mcclain

for a total of 9 additional sacks

the remainder is for other backup players or the qb himself.

Top 10 in every negative attribute isn't horrible? Okay, you win.

Columbo didn't play all that great against the Eagles either, we were just in a different league from the Eagles last year. I thought Columbo actually showed a good amount of rust.

Columbo gave up 13 pressures. 4 hits and 1 sack in the 10 games before his injury. In the two playoff games alone he gave up 10 pressures, 3 hits and 3 sacks.

Of course, anytime you quote numbers like that, you have to consider the context but just putting that out there.

And Gaither only played in 11 games.

6 are attributed to flacco

the others are Oniel Cousins (2)

And this site has only accounted for 33 sacks.

lol, ima go play madden.

more sacks doesn't mean the offensive line is worse...

the qb is a variable, as is the other skill positions...

Behind the baltimore line, Romo wouldn't take nearly as many sacks.
