Otero1, there's a five letter word beginning with s I promised not to use since some folks here are so delicately tempered.

PLEASE don't tempt me to break my vow on the very same day I made it.

Go ahead... break it...break the forum rules and dont follow the guidelines.... I dare ya :lmao:

Are the Dallas Cowboys going to disband when he hangs them up?

I left the wrong link before.

:lmao2: I hope not... He'd surely be missed. Ok. Let's not talk about that. I want TG in a cowboys uni until he decides to stop playing. I was just curious as to what you would say. ;)

I never break the forum rules.

The 'S' word doesn't break them, regardless.

I just agreed not to use it because it hurt the feelings of a poster I like.

A LOT.

Do you really think I think Terry Glenn is vital to the feasibility of the NFL?

Now, Bill Parcells...that's a different story.;)

Cut: No

Retire as a Cowboy: Yes

I agree, T.O. is one of the main reasons why the Cowboy's offense is so explosive. Keyshawn Johnson sure didn't make that offense go like the combination of T.O. and Glenn!

TO is good for this team. He SHOULD be back. We wouldnt be where we are without him.

I could get into numbers and facts but these wouldnt stop the TO hate club.

We need him on offense.

Period.

One of the first things out of his mouth the other day was "it was a good win... a good team win"

he was thanking and pumping up O-line after he scored one of his TD's

he was all over Marion Barber when he scored...

Along those lines...

He out ran everyone on JJs 77 yards TD run against the Saints.

All the same, you know.

I don't really want him back, but tell me who would replace him before I register my vote. If it's not a name that I recognize, bring him back and draft a receiver to groom.

I'll go with yes. Something tells me T.O. will not want to end his career by being known for being an immature imbecile. This translates to a few years of very high production and save for a drama episode or two... a willing Cowboy player and teammate. Our cast of characters seem to know the score, and noone has sounded off on T.O. for being a crappy person in the lockerroom. So I give it a yes.

Yes I want Owens back.

I want to see him after a full year here and then a full off season of practices and mini camps with Romo the whole time.

I think he will be back, the salary CAP continues to rise and this team is close to becoming unstoppable offensively. Plus Romo likes him.

I hope so, the media blows him up over and over, but i still think his numbers with Bledsoe the first few games and a broken hand he has still put up pretty nice numbers. I think he is a weapon on this team, and he makes everyone around him better because of the attention he merits.

Yes you want him back next year. He's a talented player that helps you win games. I'm sorry but a team full of choir boys does not equal wins. Talent does and these "old school" mentality coaches that you guys are praising have almost always put talent before character. BP had Lawrence Taylor Ditka had Mike McMahon, Gibbs had Riggins, Jimmy Johnson had a laundry list of guys. I'm gonna need y'all to leave this fantasy world were every football player is a aww shucks good old boy who's just playing the game to have fun cause thats not how it works in the real world

Hell yes. Our offense wouldn't be what it is without him. 11 touchdowns with two games to go.

Incredibly stupid.... but funny. Thanks :lmao2:
This is borderline ********, there are players in the league who commit heinous crimes, use drugs, shoot people with hunting rifles, but T.O. is the worst of the worst?

[vent mode]Good point cstanton

Every week this year I've been getting more and more pissed off at the T.O. haters. I almost couldn't stand the sports opinion idiots on the Ticket this morning. My Dad didn't watch the Cowboys for like five years after Jones dumped Landry, and I'm beginning to think that many of the haters still haven't forgiven him and wish for the old days when all the dirty laundry was left unreported by the media. Have any of you read the books about the Landry years, what was really going on with the players? They were partying hard just like the rest of the NFL. Just because it wasn't on the front page of the papers doesn't mean they were all in church on Sunday morning and living lives of purity. It also doesn't mean they were polite gentlemen on the field, either!

T.O. has some personality quirks, that's for sure, but I for one love them all. He's never boring, I look forward to each and every one of his end-zone celebrations, and I've never seen one of his teammates diss him or give ANY indication that he is causing them problems. The only people in the whole world that he is disrupting and distracting are the idiots in the media and the Cowboy fans who wish the NFL would schedule games on Saturday so as not to offend the Lord and who think Troy Aikman was a virgin until after his first Super Bowl win.

Me, I've watched the Cowboys since I was a kid in the late 60's. One of my early Christmas presents was a football helmet with a big P on the side, and that stands for Permian. Yes, as in Odessa, as in Friday Night Lights. I'm not a teenaged kid with a mind warped by rap, I'm a soon-to-be 46-year-old white dude. But I do like rap. And I even know what song T.O. was doing his end-zone celebration to a few weeks back. (that was "Lean With It, Rock With It by the Franchize Boyz for those of you who missed it) :) But when Jones brought in Jimmy Johnson I was just as happy as when Parcells brought in Romo. Landry was past his prime, so was Bledsoe. Deal with it!

I can see it now. T.O. gets MVP of the Super Bowl and the haters will be whining about the 2 balls he dropped in the playoff game the week before.
