If you haven't realized by now. Aynthing that Terrell Owens does is blown up so huge. Do we honestly care if he just farted 5 minutes ago? He is a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. ESPN is guilty of this week after week. Editing interviews down to look like something is going wrong. If you actually agree with everything that is told to you... well you are a moron. Not everything that the media feeds to you is true. About 70% of it is pushed to you by the government. So the next time you turn on FoxNews, ESPN, or anything. Remember that it always isn't so clear and cut. You have to take information in, iterpret it, and judge it using your OWN brain. Try not to be a sheep and follow what everyone says, or posts. Be a leader...

Its funny... because I read your post and it reads so "matter of factly"

YET... before we signed him... the posts also read so "matter of factly" that he wouldnt EVER be a Cowboy

History will repeat itself in this case. He will be back just as sure as he was gonna be a Cowboy AS SOON AS it was possible.

oh cmon now LTN. You and I just talked yesterday in a thread about how much TG and TO need each other. We talked about the dynamics of having two 1000 yard receivers. Have you forgotten that discussion? As much as you hated to you admitted this fact. Well, not really fact but strong opinion.

There is no player in the league who is indispensible. None who is irreplacable.

Owens is no different.

Of course he can be replaced.

In the first year it'll probably take a stud draft pick and/or a vet the quality of say, Lav Coles (just for 'talent level example, he won't be available), plus more complete integration of the the promised two te sets, and Tony's ongoing development.

I don't see 'mediocrity' for this O with Owens gone..not at all.

More and more I buy the idea that Bill does not want Owens back. Bob Glauber at Newsday, a pretty reasonable scribe, yesterday maintained he has sources who confirms this.

A story on it.

PS. Every receiver needs a complement. But none needs one particular guy and no one else.

PPS. I'd rather win with Owens than lose without him. But I'd much rather win without him than with him.

Man... you said it...

I watched a BP press conference one day where he answered a question about something non-TO... his answer was "it wont work"... then I saw ESPN with a teaser where it started with "Can TO work in Dallas?" and they put Bill's answer to the other question right after it

"Can TO work in Dallas?" "it wont work"

No doubt. JJ does not like the smell of mediocrity and he knows that's exactly where we go back to if TO is jettisoned. Even with all of his so called baggage which I contribute mostly to media hate and fans jumping on that bandwagon of media hatred, To is still leading the league in TD. That's phenomenal. Even with metal in his hand to repair a broken hand he presses on. Even after having been out for 4 weeks he plugs on. He leads the league in TDs. stellar...

JJ isn't stupid.

Yeah sure. I won't mind the off season headlines.

Okay, I'll hate them, but at least it will be news.

Except Terrell Owens. The man is a legend! We need him to retire as a Cowboy. C'mon show a lil "fanism" instead of armchair "expertism"

After noting that Dallas fans believe the reason the Cowboys will retain their hole-in-the-roof design for their new stadium is to allow God to watch his favorite team, Sports Illustrated's Pete McEntegart wrote, "The Cowboys will also dig a hole so Satan can watch his favorite receiver."
I thought that was worth quoting.

Otero1, there's a five letter word beginning with s I promised not to use since some folks here are so delicately tempered.

PLEASE don't tempt me to break my vow on the very same day I made it. :lmao2:

NO PLAYER is IRREPLACABLE.

If one were, they'd just scrap the position when he retired.

I have yet to see ANY evidence that he is distracting the team. The media? Yes. Fans? Yes. Not the team.

Keep him, work on the front lines.

Its actually a very smart technique. Slight of hand.

Look at what the left hand is doing(media created stuff) while the right hand is scoring TD's, making 1st downs and helping offense score 10 more points per game than last year.

If the coaches are willing to deal with it then he will be back. My personal feeling are I did not want him here to start with so it is a bit unfair for me to say what I think the organization is going to do.

That pretty much sums up my sentiment.

Then let's forget about our little conversation yesterday. Based upon your reasoning TG is just as replaceable. Correct?

:welcome: ABOARD.

He certainly makes it harder to defense us. I say keep him unless he does something to hurt the organization. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind because you just never know if we can keep him happy. Although Romo seems to be doing a pretty good job of it.:p:
