Seriously people... stop the dramatization...

How does one 'sell one's soul' by keeping TO?

The only people in the whole world that he is disrupting and distracting are the idiots in the media and the Cowboy fans who wish the NFL would schedule games on Saturday so as not to offend the Lord and who think Troy Aikman was a virgin until after his first Super Bowl win.
:lmao2:

Have you noticed how much TO was plugging Jerry Jones in his interview after the game on Atlanta? That guy knows who his boss is, and it is clear that he wants to be here next year....

Absolutely he should be back.

He has said some stupid stuff. And the spitting incident is, IMO, easily the worst thing that he has done while here.

However, the incredible majority of the TO "incidents" have been either completely overblown. It's incredible the scrutiny that Owens is constantly under from the media. Every single thing he says is gone over with a fine tooth comb as they look for something -- ANYTHING -- to turn into a story. I have said/done 10X as many things wrong as him since he has been a Cowboy -- missed and/or been late to work, put my foot in my mouth, been selfish, etc. -- yet I am in no danger of losing my job, nor should I be.

The man produces and works his tail off on the field. Period. He doesn't give up on his teammates or generally show a complete lack of interest in the game like one Randy Moss. THAT guy is a cancer. Not Owens. I truly believe that the rest of the 'Boys trust TO to show up week in, week out. Just ignore the stupid things he may say and do. It's simple.

I think what we are seeing this year is a battle between Terrell and T.O. So far it's been a draw. I say keep Terrell and hope he can keep a short leash on T.O.

I think he'll be back although the boys have some good young receivers. Two more years with him and Glenn along with Witten may lead to something big.

And TO gets fined 35,000 dollars for an incident that is not even caught on tape, while a person like Sean Taylor get's 17,000 for something caught on tape, as well as by the refs..

You got to be kidding me if T.O. is not getting targetted with unfair treatment...

New Commissioner, who is not going to tolerate this behavior, we will see how his office handles other incidents that are similar in nature.. Taylor was also tossed from the game TO wasn't which is part of the reason for the bigger fine at least according to reports

If we can pry Andre Johnson from the Texans...or bring Randy Moss in....YES! If not, then we need to sit him down and examine his head and try to determine if he is serious about doing the things necessary to help us win a Super Bowl AND get him into the HOF. All of those things are within his reach if he wants them...and he can prove he wants them by working within the team concept

Wow, just wow.

Those of you that dislike Owens would hunt down Moss and burn him at the stake after about 3 weeks of his charade.

I like TO and the drama for the most part has been fabricated by the mediots. The hand injuries explain alot of the easy drops, but as usual he is a gamer that will play even while seriously injuried. I for one would keep him AND find another top level WR to compliment him and Glenn (a young raw talent) and run with it IMO.

Not all of us, I don't like TO but I would take him over Moss any day of the week. I think both are headcases but Owens is the better player.

Cut:: NO
BACK:: Yes

Im going on a lem to say this, I believe that Owens is going to retire a Cowboy. Guess what? Jerry Jones knows how to deal with players like Owens, a player that possess skills, and can sometimes have physicalogical problems.

Terrell Owens will improve in time. He's no distraction to the team, the team know how to put it away, they know the person Terrell Owens which is a great teammate, and a honest person. D'Angelo Hall wouldn't be bring up this matter if they would've won the game, he just got dogged by T.O. to the point he wanted to tell something to the media and the sad thing was D.Hall wasn't satisfied with the 25,000 fine, he want him to get suspended.

____________________________________________
Just look at all of the so-called trouble Terrell Owens caused to the media view.

- Terrell Owens became a Cowboy
- In training camp he stretch his groin.
+ What T.O. do?, Miss some games when it really didn't count.
- In Season, Terrell Owens overdose story
+ What really happen? He took some suplemental pills with his regular medicine, which the police got the information wrong because they didn't have all of the evidence::

()The police assumed Terrell Owens took all of the "painkillers" for his finger that was injured that week. {*}Come to find out in the media from the "Horses mouth" that he put his "painkillers" in another bottle.

-The Week when Terrell Owens got mad at the wide receivers coach.
+ What happen in that week?, Well, if im not mistaken it was the wide receiver's coach that Terrell Owens was fussing with that week that leaked the information about Terrell Owens being fined.

- Now this week, D'Angelo Hall coming on TV after losing to the Dallas Cowboys, and say Terrell Owens spit in his face, uh, ok.
+ What's the deal? D'Angelo gets dawg on for two touchdown and loses the game. What D'Angelo do? Come out to the media and tells them that Terrell Owens spit in his face. What did Terrell Owens have to say about this? That he did it and he appologized. He even said that D'Angelina aggrevated him the whole game just like a female on sundays when you trying to watch the games.
>My imagination tells me this is a set up for Falcons to get Terrell Owens. D'Hall and Terrell Owens was probably talking and D'Hall probably told T.O. if we get a wide receiver we can win a superbowl and I think we paying like 30 million for a top-notch wide receiver. So you trying to make some news. Terrell probably said, why not?, I like news. Just my imagination.

I think it's between 8 and 9 million dollars. His base pay is $5 MM for next year.

He is the best receiver in football this year with over 1,000 yds and a league leading 11 touchdowns. How could anyone not want him back? Just get a gun and shoot yourself if you buy into all the ESPN garbage about how much trouble he is.

As long as Parcells is here and McBaby and Reid are not, TO can stay and there will be no problems just league leading performance. Except those created by the TO-haters at ESPN.

The T.O situation is not that simple. Unless we can replace T.O. with a player that can provide what he brings to the table as a playmaker, I think we bring him back. I would figure the Cowboys' brass would be doing their due diligence to see if an adequate replacement is out there, but lets face it, if there was a suitable replacement for T.O. he would not have been brought here in the first place.

Yes, I absolutely think he should be back.

Too productive to adequately replace.

This should have been a poll. From the posts on this thread it appears the overwhelming consensus is that TO should and will return.

So do you think we take a WR high in the draft to eventually replace TG or TO?

Do Giants fans want to cut Shockey, Tiki or Plaxico every time they say something stupid?

I know TO's drama exceeds that of every other player in this league. I just don't hear a lot of calls for productive players to be cut, regardless of behavior in most circumstances.
