I really think people just try to make this such a big deal because its owens, even if a ball is over thrown, under thrown or the wind carrys it into the stands, and he dosent catch it he gets raped about the drops...but ppl are forgetting he gets the most balls out of any wr, so his odds are up and hes not gonna catch every ball...and ppl forget the fact if owens wasnt there, this offense wouldnt click, he takes so much pressure off everyone else as we all know. i just feel sorry for the guy listning to the cowboys post game show on their site and they are bashing him saying he did nothing. its kind of annoying...cuz they will be the same people praising him when he makes a game winning catch.

He has like 11 on the season, which is way too much for a high profile receiver.

I do agree he is a difference maker even if the ball isn't going his way, and he fights hard for extra yardage, but it seems he is good for at least one a game.

he went to the Mavs/Kings game I tell you, that's why! CANCER!

So big deal.

TONY went to the Mavs-Timberwolves game.

Here's his pic - and he wasn't seated in no 'celebrity section'.

He's never had outstanding hands, and the fact that one of them is broken now doesn't help either. The media does go out of the way to point out when a pass thrown to him is dropped, whether or not its his fault but that's what happens when you draw attention to yourself nonstop.. people are going to highlight everything you do, good or bad

Don't dare come in here posting any kind of negativity about ANY cowboy!

They won today, don't you know that means it's against cowboy law to point out any kind of negativity whatsoever whenever they win?!

I hear ya... I am big TO supporter... I expected MORE... and I STILL do... he is dropping BIG passes... first down, TD's.... I am not panicking... but I would like to see him get it going... I see flashes of it.. when he catches the ball and sniffs out those extra yards

and therein lies TO's problem

CANCER! get rid of him

You're right. He dropped one ball today, only because he took his eyes off of it for a second because he wanted to run up field to get the first down on a third down. Big deal. The other so-called "drop" wasn't even one. It was a bad pass by Romo that was too low for someone running away from it.

The thing with TO is everytime he has a drop, he seems to make up for it on the next series...

The first drop, even though Aikman put it on him, was clearly low to the ground... It was a bad throw by Romo..

The other one though over the middle, was clearly in his hands... He need to catch those...

Owens has done alot for this team, theres no denying that. But for those of you who are defending Owens' dropped passes...get your mind right. Hold the man accountable when he is hurting our team and praise him when he is helping it. That "drop" that he had in the edn zone that got batted out of his hands is the ONLY one that wasn't his fault. He dropped two 3rd down passes today, thats not acceptable. He dropped an 80 yard TD pass against Wash. He dropped a 4th and 2 against the Giants. The man needs to step up his game, that is for damn sure, because 12 drops for a "Number 1 receiver" is insane.

it seems TO has drops at crucial situations.

that one in the 3rd quarter in Giants territory, he could have picked up the first but dropped it, and we settled for a FG

Owens had another very good game today. 8 receptions, many of them 'clutch' by any definition.

The only people griping are the ones who expect him to be 'special'. Superman. The ones who don't see what Bill has built is a TEAM, but still want Jerry's brand of celebrity, or fantasy football wins.

The ones who can't fully savor a win unless Terrell Owens has star billing in it.

Owens is keeping his mouth shut, not publically exerting any egregious pressure for the ball, and leading the team in receptions - let sleeping dogs lie.

The only reason we know of TO's drops is because the media keeps shoving it in our face... which 'number one' receiver to we have to compare him against? does the media keep track of Steve Smith's drops, and shove them in our face when he drops a ball?

The highest profile player on the highest profile team is always going to be under the microscope. He isn't perfect. We all knew this before we signed him.

I think this is the key. It is hard for me to fault him when he is having to pull the ball off of his shoelaces, but he has to catch the clutch passes that hit him right in the hands. If he catches that third down pass in the red zone that continues the drive and who knows maybe we come out of it with a TD and we don't have to rely on a 46 yard field goal from a kicker we signed this week. Drops happen, but some of his drops seem to come on game changing downs.
