Those are the league leaders in drops.

Some elite receivers in that group.

That's interesting. Only one or two guys here I'd say are not at pretty good. I wonder if the number of passes thrown your way is correlated to the number of dropps you have.

As far as I'm concerned this is old news. We new Owens had average hands. That was the weakest part of game.
What you have to understand that every other part of his game is outstanding.

He's a beast, a phyisical freak. He kills you when you try to bumb and run. What's worse is playing off and giving him a free release because he is quick and fast. It's critical to be both. He's no long strider. He's explosive and can stop on a dime. He really moves like a guy 6-3 190, not 6-3 225. That's always been the key to his game.

As far as catching the ball, I wish he would turn it around. Go through the next 5 games with just a drop or two.
Until then I believe in an absolute must situation, when the ball can not be dropped, he needs to be the last option.
It needs to be Glenn, Crayton, Witten and hope Owens has drawn extra attention to help one of these guys get open.

When you look the list, you see a bunch of guys who probably have more passes thrown their way than other players on their team or in the league, so it is logical that they would have more drops. I bet TO has had more passes thrown his way than any of those other guys. Is there a "percentage of passes caught" statistic? That would be a truer barometer of a wide receiver's productivity than total number of drops. Total drops are only relevent in terms of total passes thrown to a receiver.

All of that being considered, I think Owens has dropped his share, and I am sure he has dropped more than he wants to.

I am sure he expects to never drop a ball and catch everything.

But let's also look at all of the good things he is doing and has done since he has been here.

Why he is held to different standards is beyond me.

I am glad he is here, ... we aren't experiencing anything that SF & Philthy did with him.

Owens is working out here in Dallas, enjoy that.

We are proving that our organization is better than those others, that we don't have mamby pamby leaders in the lockerroom, a nutless coaching staff and or a cowardly paranoid front office.

Stand back and take a look, this is a great time to be a Cowboys fan, ... try and enjoy it !!

This is only year 1 and the season isnt over with yet.

I firmly believe he would be an extreme cancer if Bledsoe was still the starter and/or Romo would not be playing so well.

Not trying to criticize, but it is still early and Owens rarely causes trouble the 1st year.

If we were losing, and Vandy and Romo are not the big stories, that just means more questions about Terrell Owens, more sound bites by Terrell Owens, along with some drops etc etc and it just becomes a snowball effect I think he becomes a Cancer, but that is jmo.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I even think TO is now beginning to understand that being surrounded by a lot of weapons other than yourself is actually a good thing, and you can still end up with 80 or 90 catches. Little T is learning to share.

And you are allowed to think that. :D

Or you could forget about the future, don't worry about what might happen and just enjoy the present. Maybe that's why it is called the present, it is a gift.

Owens had another very good game today. 8 receptions, many of them 'clutch' by any definition.

The only people griping are the ones who expect him to be 'special'. Superman. The ones who don't see what Bill has built is a TEAM, but still want Jerry's brand of celebrity, or fantasy football wins.

The ones who can't fully savor a win unless Terrell Owens has star billing in it.

Owens is keeping his mouth shut, not publically exerting any egregious pressure for the ball, and leading the team in receptions - let sleeping dogs lie.

I'm not unhappy with the whole team thing, and I can live without T.O. being a superstar, but let's not pretend that he wasn't brought here to be a superstar, and he's certainly making superstar money....serious superstar cash.

I have to believe that T.O. would be the first one to admit he needs to catch more balls and stop dropping the easy ones. That said, I don't call the low one in front of him a drop...it was a poor pass, off target, and his fingertips barely got to it...only way he catches that one is to go down to the ground, but he was hoping to make a running catch and a big play.

Nah, I dont find it acceptable.

I just think with just about every player, not only receivers, that you have to accept the great qualities along with their horrible flaws.

With Keyshawn, you took his leadership (yes, leadership), hard work, great route running ability and hands, but you could forgive his biggest flaw, his speed.

Galloway had great speed but had so-so hands and was a straight line route runner.

It is all about give and take give and take. Guy his making a crap load of money and should be making those 2 catches bottomline.

But T.O. has always had a problem with this. He brings playmaking, TDs, and Yaks to the table but he also brings Tude and dropped ballls.

Undoubtedly the opposing Defensive Coordinator looks at our team differently when Terrell Owens is on the field. He takes pressure off of other players, gets into the Endzone and his ratio of Clutch passes/Dropped Passes is also pretty favorable.

With a young QB, there is no better person to help him come along than Terrell Owens.

I think Owens' value has been huge this year and I bet a "certain" Moxican would say the same thing.

And yes, cussed out my TV set when he dropped those passes, but I always saw a guy making huge catches (and some of those balls by Romo were poor) when the game was on the line.

Im afraid Mr. Terrell Owens is quite operational :D

You make some good points. I still like Owens as a Cowboys WR. I hope and believe that he can and will start limiting his drops.

The highest profile player on the highest profile team is always going to be under the microscope. He isn't perfect. We all knew this before we signed him.

That is a great signature Morpheus "Romo You are the One":lmao:

Did anyone mention Terry Glenn's drop yesterday that ended up as an INT.

We then got lucky and Kiwi dropped the ball.

I know TO has a crazy number of drops but everyone who knew TO before he became a Cowboy knew he droppded passes.
