All your post did is prove that are a hypocrite.

You first lumped Tank Johnson in with him after stating that you had no problem with him.

I know exactly what kind of person is and what he's been up to. You even apparently have an issue with him going and wrestling against commissioner's wishes. You demand things from him.

Thing is, I don't care what he does.

I don't pretend I do, then turn around and act like its nothing as long as he does what I think he should do. Nevermind the fact that what I want is completely meaninglesss in the grand scheme.

Chances are a player and person like this will never make my morality hot list while at the same time make plays for my football team.

I'll just take the plays. And ignore the rest.

Hypocrite? Its obvious you never gave any thought to my posts. TO is not even in the same universe as pacman. Tank was in trouble, and seemed to have matured, sold his guns, admitted his mistakes, and was ready to move on. Pacman has done no such thing. If anything, his time off seems to have strengthened his resolve in thinking he is an innocent victim.

You want to bring in thugs so you can get an extra win or two, or three, fine, I'm not the morality police, I really don't care. I'm just glad there are more level headed people like me, than there are people who will openly sell thier soul to the devil to watch a football team win a couple more games. Good luck to you.

Wonderfully stated. I fail to see how anyone who isn't inserting their own foolish sentiments into it can feel any different.

State your terms in his contract. If he violates it, goodbye.

HAHAHA. You're going to put in pacmans contract........"Hey don't go to strip clubs, or you're gone"????? LOLOLOLOL

I'm going to go out on a limb here Alexander and say you don't live in the dallas area do you? HAHAHAHAHA

Keeping pacman out of strip clubs in dallas is like keeping a crackhead away from crack when he lives in a crackhouse. It ain't happening. And anyone who says otherwise doesn't live in Dallas, cause they would know exactly what I'm talking about.

Please explain how signing this one bad apple to try to actually win a playoff game would be "openly selling their soul to the devil"?

Do you believe making this a larger than life prospect that involves religious parables makes you any more righteous?

Apparently Jerry Jones is going straight to the hot place, because he probably would "sell his soul". And I applaud him if he does that, because he has more invested and wants to win more than fan who inserts their own morality into the equation like it matters a single bit.

You won't stop supporting this franchise if he signed him any more than that the ridiculous little people who made a big scene when we acquired Terrell Owens.

anything more then a pick from the last round is paying too much.

beggars can't be choosy.

he'd outplay any first day pick next year we'd have and likely the next. outplay every second day pick forever.

since we're seriously deficient in the CB position i'll gladly give up a pick and let Calvin Hill do his thing with the thugs.

Go back and see what I said about TO. I was all for it. Go back and see what I said about Tank, I was for that too.

If you can't see the difference between TO/Tank, and pacman, I can't help you. I guess I just don't want to win badly enough. But don't tell me its because I'm more religious or self righteous than the next person, because I'm not.
But pacman is T-R-O-U-B-L-E, and there is considerable risk signing him. Signing TO and Tank didn't win us a playoff game, why are you so sure Pacman will?

I can't wait to see your posts if pacman is here a month and pistol whips a hooker, and the league takes away a 1st round pick because of it.

Always the hallmark of an intelligent post.

I knew it, you don't live here do you? Of course you don't.

Where do you live? Somewhere in the corn fields of Iowa? Let me let you in on a little secret of what happens in the big city. We have temptation. Ask Irvin. Dallas can chew you up and spit you out if you're even on the fence of getting in trouble.

This ain't Green Bay.

Now he's pistol whipping prostitutes?

:laugh2:

When Goodall makes that a rule that he takes away a first round choice for slapping around a floozy, I might start caring.

See, I doubt that.

Atlanta is as bad as Dallas. Vegas is worse. Jones has frequented both cities often. So it really doesn't matter.

In fact, he's probably seen better red light districts, but apparently you fear he will be overwhelmed with temptation in Dallas? Must be that "things are bigger and better in Texas" mentality.

What I would ask Michael Irvin is how do you deal with the city of Dallas in terms of how it behaves with its athletes? He too was the victim of several trumped up charges from money grubbing losers and targeted by profiling police who notice what Cowboys do because they are such celebrities there.

It is not the square footage of real estate devoted to strip clubs that I would worry about with Jones. It has to do with the fact that Dallas Cowboys have a bullseye painted on them from day one in that city.

Nice place you have there.

I have no problem giving a 5th, 6th or 7th for Pac Man if that is needed,

But if Jerry does this the contract better be very small, no gambling with the CAP. If he screws up the contract better allow us to lose nothing. That is all I care about. Do not gamble with this one Jerry, if we have no risk, then fine.

I agree.

Nothing higher than a 5th, period.

Contract is similar to Tank, 2 yr deal with heavy incentives and little guaranteed money.

If he screws up 1 time, he is gone.

We also draft CB in the 1st for grooming/insurance if Pac "makes it rain".

So we might trade for a guy before his suspension is up?

That just sounds risky.

I thought this trade would be AFTER he is reinstated. If the Titans want a pick BEFORE he is reinstated, that 5th just became a 7th.

Giving up a 5th for a guy that is still suspended is ****** dumb.:banghead:

I have been reading all the threads, and I'm really on the fence on this one. This is a tough call.

On the one hand, I think some here underestimate just how much ability this kid has. He was a true game-changer in 2006. He had 3 punt returns for touchdowns and 4 INT's. He'd help this team IMMEDIATELY.

On the other hand, he's clearly a bad apple. This isn't Terrell Owens or Deion Sanders coming to town from a hated rival. It's not even Charles Haley with his history. This is criminal, bad news, who is one step away from creating a huge distraction and tarnishing the franchise.

I guess I'm leaning toward trading a lower-round pick, giving him one final chance and cutting him loose immediately if there is even a single incident. It doesn't even have to be an arrest, just a strip-club siting would be enough for me to release him.

I make him sign a "moral agreement" that he will be a choir boy. If he goes within 100 feet of a Dallas strip club, he is gone.

I know he's had his problems, but i'm all for giving up a 5th-7th with a strict contract. We are in need of corners and he's really talented. Well worth the risk to see if he can change his ways and allow Calvin to work some magic hopefully.

Which is a shame, really. The word STRIPPER is worth 12 points plus the 50 you get for using all your tiles. That's 62 minimum. Also, you should be able to hit a double or triple word score, giving you 12 to 24 more. I'll have to defer to Adam when it comes to combinations of letter bonuses and the like, but still, that's a lot of points. ;)

Just wait until they release the guy, why give up draft picks when you more than likely won't have to!

I say get the guy. We won't give up much in compensation and if he starts acting up... just get rid of him. We have a roster full of high character individuals... Adam is more likely to be influenced by them than the team is to be swayed to his way of thinking.

Low risk with very, VERY high reward at a crucial position in the NFL. I think it will be a good move.

If he keeps his head on straight then we have a great, great CB situation and our punt return game just improved by leaps and bounds. If not... then we're out one late draft pick.

I hope we do it soon.

I would give a second day pick to him, and his contract would be extremely incentive-based, based on his behavior on and off the field as well as his gameday performance.

Anything more than that could end up blowing up in our faces.

If Tank had done in DFW what he did in Chicago, it would have been legal.

TO's troubles have never been legal, it was that he always felt his mouth gave him all the freedom.

With that being said-I wouldn't even give a **** pot for Pacman-even if he didn't do anything, he'll always be in the wrong place at the wrong time nonetheless.

Jay Glazer said there was going to be some kind of surprise blockbuster trade on Tues.

With all the talk about Philly going after a premier wideout, I'm now beginning to wonder if Pacman to Dallas is what he's talking about.
