I've been following this thread all day and didn't want to comment at all but here goes.
I am the biggest CB fan on the planet. My affinity for the position is similar to how Coach Parcells is with TE's and LB's. If I were a GM I would draft one first day every season like Ron Wolf would do with QB's, why you ask? Because every team in the league needs them and if you have a bunch that can play you can always trade one for value.
That said, I wouldn't touch Pacman Jones right now. He would need to truly prove to Goddell, Jerry Jones, Wade and Calvin Hill that he has changed and be willing to undertake the proper counselling before I even entertain trading for him or picking him up despite his desire to play for Dallas. Pacman makes poor decisions, as do all of us at times, but he doesn't seem to learn from them and that makes him prone to repeat them. He needs to mature as a man before he even can step back into his profession.
I do believe that a person can change but he or she has to want to do so. Pacman would have to truly prove that he has grown and is willing to change and do whatever is asked of him by the commish or the team that acquires him even if it means a strict prohibition of strip clubs for the duration of his contract.
Pacman has all the talent in the world and if Jerry were to sign him, I trust that the evaluation process was stringent and complete thus I would accept it and trust Mr. Jones judgment. But, as of right now, I say no.
This draft has enough skilled players at CB to allow the 'Boys to upgrade. Personally, I want Talib from Kansas or McKelvin from Troy or Cason from Arizona in the 1st round and possibly sign Drayton Florence as a free agent.
Pass on Pacman.
