Pacman wants to be Cowboy

Or stupidity.

I don't see how the Titans could ask for anything higher than a 3rd at this point, and that may be stretching it. I'd say a 4th is probably the most they can hope for, and if that's the going rate, then do it, as long as the guy is willing to rework his contract and earn his spot like Tank and Hamlin did.

I'd also like to remind everyone there is nothing wrong with a grown man going to strip clubs. Strip clubs aren't the problem, its the crew he runs with. If he can do what Tank has done and separate himself from them, I think he would have far fewer problems.

It is a problem when you don't change your habits that help lead to your problem. His problems stem from these places and yet he continues to go so no he is not changing a damn thing in how he conducts his life. As for Tank he got in trouble with possesion of fire arms he turned around and sold all of his guns.

Third rounder??? They should be giving us a third rounder for that misfit!

I hope Jerry does this to Pacman if he comes in wanting to join the Cowboys...

I think you need to take another look at Tank's circumstances. He didn't sell his guns out of the goodness of his heart.

This is all moot anyway, because at the rate Pac is going, he'll never be back in the NFL.

I don't mind an occasional questionable character guy, but come on. Jones has shown he's incapable of staying out of trouble. If he we somehow signed him, he'd be in Goodell's Gulag within a month.

It's not the fact that he did or didn't punch her. It's the fact that is he was in a strip joint AGAIN. Remember, Goodell told him to stay out of strip clubs yet the night before he was to meet with Goodell he was in one and Goodell denied his reinstatement request because of it. He reiterated, he is to stay out of them. January 3rd, 2008 he is again in a strip club that results in an argument with someone and then a woman filing chargers (later dropped).

The point is he put himself back in position for it to happen again by going to a strip club and that was barely two weeks ago!!!!

way to misrepresent thinks. Yes he went to one the night before he met Goddell, but that was not the reason for him not getting reinstated. Goddell ASKED him to stay away from them he didn't tell him to, nor did he say that his reinstatement depended on him staying out of them. He just said he thought it would be best if he stayed out of them. Pac Man agreed at the time. The problem isn't him going to strip clubs, it is the people he is running with. As far as the Jan 3 incident, you don't even know if he was there since the charges have suddenly been dropped.

wow! he just came right out and said he wants to be a cowboy! i'd give him a shot since both our 1st round picks are probably gonna be traded for dmac.

If the guy stays clean for 6 months- and that means NOTHING at all, no sightings at strip clubs, etc; then maybe- MAYBE. BUT I say that he has no discipline or self control and he will do something to screw up again.

BS. Yes it does matter where you hang out just as much as whom you hang with. Pacman has not done anything to change any of his habits that have constantly caused him problem it is his fault not that of anyone else friends or others people it is all on Pacman and his own damn habits. Goodell can't make them not go to these places but there is a reason Goodell told him to stay out of strip clubs and that is his constant problems at strip clubs.

Gee, I have hung out in many seedy strip clubs for much of my adult life and I have yet to get in trouble. I have seen exactly 2 people get kicked out of them. One for taking pics with his cell phone. I have never seen a fight in one or a shooting at one. I have been to some of them that were in the bad areas of DC and Baltimore. Its the people you bring with you that cause the problems not the clubs themselves. But thanks for playing.

I am curious, do you know him personnally? Do you know what he has or hasn't done? How many times has he been to a strip club, I am curious? This latest alligation has been proven untrue so how many times has he been since the start of the 2007 season?

It could work if he saw a shrink everyday before and after practice:D

Odd considering all his trouble seem to stem from being at strip clubs.

Paint it any color you want, a dog is still a dog.

Problem is, he hates it when it shrinks. Why do you think he hangs out at strip clubs? :laugh2:

He doesn't DESERVE a chance of having the LUXURY of playing in the NFL.
The concern should lye with the women he beats and helping the guy that now resides in a friggin' wheelchair.

Waste of a human sperm cell.........................

This is not about you. It is about Pacman a guy who is flushing his career down the drain and who and where you hang out matters. Do I know him no but the police sure as hell do and he has a long track record with them. So continue to defend his action all you want but that does not change the problems he is facing and will continue to face as long as he continues to live a life style that has caused him nothing but problems. Working at Harris County and dealing with inmates around here I do know who and where you hang out matters which is why we have so many repeat offenders who fail to change anything in their life that continually cause them problems. You want to play naive fine but then it is not your career that is heading down a dead end street it is Pacmans

If who he hangs out with is the problem then his first step is to find new people to hang out with.

Pacman isn't going to cost Dallas anything..

Jerry will structure his contract in such a way that it will be incentive-laden. If Pacman screws up, Dallas will release him without any harm.

That is the only way. The best way.

And yet...

I still dont like it.

He can do harm in other ways. I cant see me ever being on board with this.... primarily because he hasnt shown anything as far as behaving.

I believe in extra chances(funny we have to say extra instead of 2nd nowadays).... but he will blow it.

Lets get a young hungry DB in the draft. Draft him high if we have to.

Like its been said, Jerry Jones is a businessman who is in the business of elevating the Cowboys to Super Bowl contention. Adam "Pacman" Jones has a proven high quality skill set with no history of problems with his teammates.

I believe that Jerry will discreetly assess Jones off the field behavior to determine risk/reward. If Adam Jones is deemed an acceptable risk and would be willing to accept a below market incentive laden contract, then I think Jerry would definitely trade for him (lower value pick) or sign him if he is released.

Saying all that, I'm in favor of 2nd/3rd/4th... in this case, I might as well say 'another' chances; however, Adam Jones would have to somewhat prove himself to be an upstanding citizen publicly before I feel the Cowboys should take that chance. JMO
