Pacman wants to be Cowboy

So what if he blows it... If he is who he is, he'll blow his chances at McDonalds. Just structure it in such a way that Dallas doens't suffer irreperable harm. Get the most out of Jones when he is here...

If they do bring him in and he implodes...again.....it will hurt the Boys because there roster will undoubtedly be effected. Let's say they bring him on board and he plays well in preseason and wins the third corner spot....well that means someone who might be useful, is traded or cut as a result.
Now let's say Adam somehow wanders into a strip club, and oh, I don't know punches out the schlep sitting beside him or gets his *** beaten because he didn't like the lap dance he got from "Mercedes"....now you're out a third corner and probably the next best player after him....all because you wanted to take a chance at a chonic loser. No thanks.

Oh....look at all the adorable judges, up on their puffy white cloud of judginess, judging away.

Welcome to Dallas, PacMan. :) We need ya.

So you're standing on a railroad track and there is a train coming and it's about to run you down.

Do you make the judgment that it might kill you or do you stand there and say, "Hmmm, if I move out of the way, it would be judging the future actions of the train, therefore, I will stand here and wait to find out what happens before I make a decision."?

We'll send flowers to the funeral home.

Absolutely, under any circumstances, the answer is a resounding NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why in the hell would any team take a chance on this guy? Just a disaster waiting to happen. We don't need that.

Your analogies need some work. In your illustration, the train hitting you is an inevitable eventuality. In PacMan's case, not only is disaster NOT inevitable, but through smart negotiations, Jerry could provide and easy out OFF the tracks.

He has a long history and I do know the reports that have come out on him. Tenn knew this as well and took a chance and they regret taking that chance that coming out of the mouth of the GM. You want to act dumb and think this guys is a new man be my guest hopefully Jones is not that stupid to take a chance on a fricken thug which is what Paceman is and has always been.

So, all you know is the reports that have come out prior to him meeting Goddell and the report on 3 Jan that has now been proven untrue. so you have no idea what he has done to make changes in his life. I am not saying he is a new man, I am saying we the fans don't know what he has been doing. He has kept his nose clean for the past 8 months or so. If Jones meets him and decides he wants to take a chance on him, I will trust Jones's judgement and personal knowledge over your high horse assumptions.

No, it was a good analogy. The train is coming in the form of pacman. IT WILL hit you and you will die. I live here, I know what he has done here. I know that these things continue to follow him. Or he follows them. Either way it's stupid to bring this train wreck to Dallas. Especially when even one slip up and you know he will be done for the season. Period.

The train is coming and it will kill you. Get out of the way.

No matter how unlikely it is, people can change.

For a modest contract, I'd love Jerry to take the chance that PacMan has turned things around. Corners with his talent are rare - our chances of picking one up in the offseason would be pretty minimal.

People can change. Based on Pacman's rap sheet from his time at WVU to the present, there hasn't been so much as the slightest shred of evidence to indicate that Jones is such a person.

Fortunately, it's a moot point right now. It appears PJ's chances of being reinstated prior to the draft are slim and none. Hopefully that will force JJ to look elsewhere to solve the team's secondary woes.

SO by your scenario Nate Jones would not have made the roster. Would you actually have missed Nate Jones?

Terrible analogy. You could simply cut him the minute he screwed up.

But....back to your analogy. I'd pay good money to see you face that train....

got a good # of opinions on this subject.........take a name list

If/when Jerry skips on Pacman...........who at least has proven nfl talent, Cowboys w/ "personell dept" have a good track record of dealing with troubled players.......C.Hill should get some credit somewhere along the line

lets remember this when a high nuff' draft pik flops.......Dont be ripping Jerry and the scouting dept.......

a move here lets Jerry take one more need off the table prior to the draft, prior to Raiders pik and D-Mac or J.Stewart. Add this to a move on wr Roy W. and the draft is free'd up to take best avail player

cant have the cake and eat it also.......are the odds even 50/50 over the years on draft piks??????? .......not a risk free business

There's really no way to respond except to say that you are completely incorrect. The odds may be against him changing, but it's not impossible, as you've painted it - and so the choice of illustration was very poor.

There's a chance he can change - Jerry would just need a pair big enough to roll that dice. If he does, I support him 100%.

You never know with people. Maybe tomorrow he wakes up with some stripper he met, only finds out through early morning examination that it was a dude....he realizes he's bottomed out, and dedicates his life to the NFL. Jerry Jones signs him and he becomes a HOFer for the Dallas Cowboys.

It's a long shot - but the possibility is out there.

The sad thing is.. as someone mentioned early in the thread.. his skillset is exactly what Dallas needs... an explosive punt returner(he single handedly won game for the titans.. a la Hester).. and a good cover corner.

lol

nothing like a good potential tranny disaster to fire up a thread.

Baldinger said he was the best cb in the league in 06.

I wouldnt care if he intercepted 35 balls a year, why would anyone want to root for this guy? Seriously?

Gee, I have hung out in many seedy strip clubs for much of my adult life and I have yet to get in trouble. I have seen exactly 2 people get kicked out of them. One for taking pics with his cell phone. I have never seen a fight in one or a shooting at one. I have been to some of them that were in the bad areas of DC and Baltimore. Its the people you bring with you that cause the problems not the clubs themselves. But thanks for playing.

I am curious, do you know him personnally? Do you know what he has or hasn't done? How many times has he been to a strip club, I am curious? This latest alligation has been proven untrue so how many times has he been since the start of the 2007 season?

Where you on the "Block"?:)

You would have to pay this moron a huge bonus to get him. If you cut him you are on the hook for it. So the analogy is a good one. Simply because this guy has shown NO DESIRE to change his habits, the people he hangs with or anything else about his personal life.

This is not the pre salary cap era. You don't take stupid risks.

As for facing the train, you first.

If he intercepted 35 balls a year, he could piss in the middle of Texas Stadium for all I care....

I still dont really get excited when he scores. I am so hoping we find a guy to step in and be a difference maker at wr this year, so this will be the last year of owens.

I just cant root for the guy, he is the epitome of what I dont like in athletes.
