Does anyone remember what the Cowboys defense was like before Micah got here? Micah is a difference maker on defense no matter what his stats are.

If you want to trade him fine, but you better have a plan rather than draft picks because this defense will absolutely stink without him.
You mean stink like they did against Josh dobbs?

Yeah, real smart… get rid of one of the best players. Some of these responses to Cowboyszone border on brilliant!

2 firsts for the highest rated pass rusher in the league isn't enough. It isn't close to enough. Two 1's, two 2's and a 3 minimum. You don't trade that kind of player unless the offer is overwhelming.
except Jerry is ALWAYS on the wrong end of a trade deal. Jimmy orchestrated the Herschel Walker trade.

Two firsts alone could be two Mazi Smiths, that's a scary thought. I think someone in the organization, maybe a previous player needs to sit the young man down for a heart to heart. He's a kid, kids these days are emotional and dumb, there is still hope for him but it may not be on this team.

Jerry tries to trade people after he announces he no longer wants them on the team. Not a position of power.

With all the fake media stories made up about the Cowboys, it would be easy to leak a rumor and get every team calling to acquire about Micah.

Jerry can say no, he is not interested, but is curious to find out what they may be willing to offer.

Oh I agree. I wouldn't want to let him go unless he was tearing apart the locker room. Kids grow up, and I think we've all been waiting for him to understand that all of the extra stuff is a detriment to him as a player and as a man. I hope this offseason is an eye opener. He's toned down his negative rhetoric after a very shaky aftermath from the playoff loss. Hopefully he's beginning to understand that the media is not his ally, and that his focus needs to be solely on football for the time being.

Give me a quiet defensive try hard guy that leads by example, over an immature talker and entitled punk. Micah is another case, and we see it over and over throughout the league, immensely talented ,gifted players, that have rocks for brains. They piss away the talent and are never happy. Clearly Micah is in it for team Micah. We are necessary evils in his view, the fan . Truthfully, I think he don't think he needs us.
Yes, I much prefer a “try hard” guy who fits my personal personality requirements over players with rare talent who annoy me with their tweets.

we can walk and chew gum. It doesn't need to be 1 or the other. Why can't we just have a guy that plays sound and stops running his mouth so much? I don't mind if he shows up and backs it up, but he either can't or won't.

Does Kevin Costner work for your team......LOL!
Obviously no team has offered the Cowboys two firsts and two seconds, or, some teams have a Jerry turned them down. If he is worth two 1’s and two 2’s, he’s worth keeping.

In only the 3rd season of his career, Micah is the best player on this team and he's among the top defensive players in the NFL; He's far from perfect but damn he's good.. The guy is only 24 years old, and the sky is the limit for him.. The only way I'd trade Micah is if I could get Caleb Williams.

Problem we have here in Dallas is that the media hype for every player wearing the star and and studs like MP get elevated to a degree more than they even should be an greedy agents eat that up and it affects our cap significantly with these elevated and overvalued players.
Having said that, MP is a BA and is frustrated, same with CD.
Stars want to be stars there is no way around it and the frustration is clearly evident, and it all points a certain direction while keeping mouths closed to the point that their moms have to start talking....lol

Well we've had 3 years to make an assessment and he's an incredibly talented individual he's Young but he doesn't show up in big moments and has had the chance 3 years in a row.

Sure he beats up against bad teams when we get a lead and he stays into the end of the game to get his stats up but he has all the earmarks of turning into a businessman as soon as he gets paid.
And we haven't done this since Herschel Walker but for once I'd like to see us get rid of a guy like that before he gets paid gets hurt slacks off and screws us over he's at the height of his value get every draft pick you can get and rebuild the defense better and stronger starting from the defensive tackle position
