Yup... sucks. Talent-wise, he's not a bust. But it's not why he dropped. He dropped for character and off field reasons, which so far don't seem to be an issue.

If he dropped more, I was hoping the Cowboys would take a chance on him.

I think the more success Carter has, the more of a problem he will be for the Eagles. He is going to be really good on the field and next to Jordan Davis they might be the best DT tandem we have ever seen, but I still believe Carter is going to be a locker room problem in the future. It would not shock me is he turns out to be another Albert Haynesworth. But so far he looks like a monster.

btw, this one play he made may be because of a bad Center for the Vikings, but it shows really impressive lateral quickness for a big guy. I think offensive lines will learn to block him and use his quickness against him but he will still be a really good player. Right now he is way ahead of Mazi.

Give the Eagles credit, they were in the Super Bowl and still managed to get a player like Carter by making smart trades.

10th isn’t really that egregious. we only think so because of the landing spot. we got micah at 12. just is what it is
No one really knew Micah the pass rusher, though.

Carter was a consensus 1st or 2nd best prospect in the draft, and the best player on a back to back national championship team.

For point of reference, a comparable prospect, Quinnen Williams, went 3rd overall just a few years ago.

I can understand QBs taken above him, but look at the guys that were taken in front and you realize it was a perfect storm.

For instance, the raiders could NOT take the risk considering the Ruggs situation, but definitely would have taken Carter otherwise. And I’d say the same for Seattle. Witherspoon was a great somewhat sleeper prospect— not the top 5 target like Carter.

The real question is how much better is Carter, Davis, and Cox are compared to Osa, Hankins, and Mazi. After 1 game it’s not much of a difference compared to the resources the Eagles put into their line.

There’s this insistence on trying to convince us that Carter is great…..he did not fall in the draft because of his lack of talent he fell because he’s an idiot and was responding for the murder of a teammate. He’s a great talent. We know this.
Have I missed a story? The two deaths in the car accident are now ruled homicides?

LOL......He's going to be trouble for us a long time unless he self-destructs.

I can't believe The Arlington Jonesboys dumbo GM did not trade up to get Warren Sapp...oh this happen before with Jerry Dumbo GM Jones.

That's because the Eagles went the Walmart route at linebacker and they have no depth in their banged up secondary. They only had two sacks but they must have knocked Cousins down about 20 times. Poor guy is probably a walking bruise right now.

The real dumbos that draft was the Eagles. He was exactly what they needed and they passed because of "character" issues, taking instead combine hero Mike Mamula--who proceeded to become one of the biggest busts in Eagle history.

I'll say this much. That local media covering Dallas is lazy, uncreative, and aloof. Otherwise, they'd be putting pressure on the DAs in Georgia and Carter would have the charges he deserves: the charges any other average Joe in his shoes would get.

Depends on what you're talking about. I'll take Mazi and Hankins all day for run defense. Give me the Eagles' guys if we're talking pass rush. Personally, I'll take our defensive line over Filthy's all day.

At the very least involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment. Again, Dallas' local media is lazy and spineless on this issue. At very best, they're ignorant.

One was a projected 1st overall pick. One was a late first rounder who could’ve went in the second…..
So tired of this excuse. They literally play the same position yet one looks like a high schooler as opposed to a pro. McClay is Howie’s b***h.
