Parsons Trade Discussed Internally

If you trade Micah, then draft players. How many of them will still be around by the time they can dump Dak?
How many will then demand high contracts. Yes, Dak will be off the books, unless they have to pay a few years of void years.

But we also know how the FO mishandles contracts. A few other players will have bad contracts, so they can't keep the players they draft in the Micah trade.

It is the hamster wheel effect with this FO.
The problem is that Dak makes the margin for error so small that it will take genius moves to build any roster around him that will make him successful.

I don't trust the Joneses to do that. I don't believe any GM can build a team that makes Dak successful.

The only option to success I see is trading Parsons for picks and using those picks to try and get a QB for the future.

Don't know what I feel about this one. We'd have 75% of our defense gone if he's traded.
If you are going to trade Parsons why resign Dak and CeeDee. Trading Parsons would have gone off better if you traded CeeDee last offseason then forced Dak to either play out his contract or ask to be traded. The Cowboys could have received at least 6 high draft round draft picks and could have started a true rebuild.

We're not really going to trade him. This is just how thorough our front office is. They explore all possible opportunities.

Of course we will never do it but he will be totally wasted in the Eburflus passive 4-3 where he predictably lines up at weak DE position

Just trade him now
For 2 1s and 2 2s it would be a slam dunk
I've been one of his strongest advocates, but 2 1s and 2 2s is a no brainer. A top 5 pick, a 2 and a 3 you'll do the trick too. If the idea is to trade our best playrd (by a wide margin), the return has to be equivalent. He plays a premium position and has started his career on a HOF worthy trajectory. These guys don't grow on trees. Those implying that a single 1st round pick would be enough....insane line of thinking. If you're moving on from that kind of talent, you need to be able to replace that level of production. The chances of finding one or two players that can do that is miniscule.

If you have a top 10 pick it’s because your team has so many holes you can’t afford to give up any draft picks.
Maybe. Maybe not. I don't think Bears have that many holes. Adding a Micah can fix a lot of those holes. I can certainly see why a team would do it. Some teams are further away than others.

Fish, enough said. Even if this was from a legit source who has "insiders", and "sources"...Jerry is too afraid to trade a guy like Micah

This isn't about local headlines, this is about national headlines for the Superbowl to talk about the Cowboys..
That's my point. If he can't even domiante local headlines how the hell can you dominate national headlines? Luka to the Lakers is still dominating not only local but NATIONAL HEADLINES....DAMN NEAR GLOBAL lol. LIke I said a MIcah rumor is not gonna do anything to it. Aim higher Jerry. Do a "thinking about releasing Dak" rumor or thinking about trading Lamb rumor....or better yet throw a "giving up GM title" rumor....those would be much more compelling and intersting....starting a rumor about Micah getting traded when pretty much everyone knows we won't is just....pathetic lol.

This is true but if you a top 10 team with a a solid franchise QB.........add a player like Parsons to the defense, you are a better team real fast.
If they're going to trade him they need to do it fast. Free agency starts in just over 30 days and his contract looming over the Cowboys could effect how aggressive they can be signing free agents.

If they would only do that. I can't see them selecting any QB of the future anytime soon. It is the way they operate, the track record is there.

Think the 2000 Baltimore Ravens and Trent Dilfer. Build that defense, and that could give Dak a chance with decent players on offense.
I know you do not like Dak, but he is not that horrible he could not win with a team like the Ravens had surrounding him.

However, the issue and difference between Dilfer and Dak, turnovers in big games. So maybe you are right.

Trade him to the browns for Garrett and their 2 overall
