Parsons Trade Discussed Internally

Dak was the guy you get rid of.

He’s easily replaceable and there is a long list of QBs that can win the games he does.

We could’ve built a way better team without Dak.

But..

If a crazy haul is offered I’d consider but I don’t trust Jerry and co.

I could see them trading Micah for 2 2’s or something dumb.

It's Fish.

But we are talking about Jerry and Stephen so who knows what the truth is. I have no doubt they have talked about a trade. Even if it was just a quick question, does it make sense to trade him?

But it's funny how the same people who want to get rid of Dak, also want to trade Micah. What's with that? Philly fans? When we get a good player, an impact player like Micah, the first thought is to trade him? I thought we were trying to win a Super Bowl at some point. I don't know how that works if we trade our best players for draft picks that may or may not pan out.

I am not sure how you build a team when your philosophy is, once he gets good, trade him! And who is making the trade? What has his record been on trades in the past - not counting when Jimmy Johnson was here. This is the same guy who gave a first round pick for Amari Cooper only to trade him away for a 5th round pick. That's the guy I want making deals for me!

Of course Jerry is also the same guy that gave Dak, $60 million. But we can pay Micah $24 million next year, then franchise tag him and still pay him less than what his contract will be. So why trade him now?

And for you "the CAP is a myth" fans, if they trade Micah rather than pay him, tell me again how the CAP is a myth? If they don't pay Micah because the paid Dak it will prove once and for all how stupid this team is.

Micah’s not going anywhere.

Jerry’s going to shower him with money and then brag about it!

Not Fish story........article yes, but not story

Parsons and Garrett end up in Philly
That’s ridiculous. They won’t be able to sign all of their players that are becoming free agents. Parsons will be on the Cowboys. I fear the Commanders may be a bonafide player for Garrett.

I guess Micah will be fun to watch while the team wins 6 or 7 games a year for the foreseeable future.

We like our guys.
And I guess if you trade away your actually good players you can have a cheap team winning 4-5 games for the foreseeable future. I mean its not like you need great players to win in the NFL and build around. A bunch of jags will do.

Using your logic the Texans would be trading Stroud or the Bengals Burrow. Obviously, the Vikings clearly need to trade Jefferson as, per your logic, he is clearly not working out.

Using your logic the Texans would never have Stroud or the Bengals would never have Burrow to begin with.

The Texans would still have Watson (Because why would you ever get rid of a good player, right?!?!?!) and the Bengals would never have drafted Burrow because drafting a QB is scary and what if it doesn't work out?

Personally, I'm fine with doing what you want. I'm all for Dak's QB record being tainted real good until he medically retires in a few years once he milks Jerry for the rest of his contract.

Sounds lick superbowl click bait "look at me" headline.

If anything you would have kept Parsons over Dak. Build the trenches first. Dak does not elevate the team enough to be worth 60m. You could have found a few QBs vastly cheaper to do the same. Dak should have been gone and I never wanted to resign Diggs. Should have played Lance from the get go once Dak went down to see how he's developed in Dallas. If he played average resign him to next year while still building the trenches, DTs, and look to draft a QB or look to sign to make a big signing once we have the foundation built

I see it a little different.......Jerry has been dealing with the media over 30 years. I'm sure most are on speed dial. He knows exactly what he's doing IMO. I personally think it's the first dart to Parsons and his agent coz they know they HAVE to settle this before the draft, otherwise uyou have mess dealing with him.
I don’t disagree with that. I’m just disagreeing with the idea that he’s trying to dominate headlines….he has a different motive in mind.

Except we saw our defense without Parsons on the field this year. Not good at all. Only way I trade him is if we can get Garrett or another proven pass rusher. Or get at least 3 first.
When he was off the field did we see the 2 FA's that would replace him and the 2 high draft picks on the field when he was out?
