Parsons Trade Discussed Internally

That's my point. If he can't even domiante local headlines how the hell can you dominate national headlines? Luka to the Lakers is still dominating not only local but NATIONAL HEADLINES....DAMN NEAR GLOBAL lol. LIke I said a MIcah rumor is not gonna do anything to it. Aim higher Jerry. Do a "thinking about releasing Dak" rumor or thinking about trading Lamb rumor....or better yet throw a "giving up GM title" rumor....those would be much more compelling and intersting....starting a rumor about Micah getting traded when pretty much everyone knows we won't is just....pathetic lol.
I see it a little different.......Jerry has been dealing with the media over 30 years. I'm sure most are on speed dial. He knows exactly what he's doing IMO. I personally think it's the first dart to Parsons and his agent coz they know they HAVE to settle this before the draft, otherwise uyou have mess dealing with him.

If they would only do that. I can't see them selecting any QB of the future anytime soon. It is the way they operate, the track record is there.

Think the 2000 Baltimore Ravens and Trent Dilfer. Build that defense, and that could give Dak a chance with decent players on offense.
I know you do not like Dak, but he is not that horrible he could not win with a team like the Ravens had surrounding him.

However, the issue and difference between Dilfer and Dak, turnovers in big games. So maybe you are right.
Do you believe Jerry would make Dak the highest paid player ever and expect him to play the role of QB like Trent Dilfer?

Do you believe Dak's ego would allow him to play like Trent Dilfer?

I say no to both of those.

You are probably right.
Two big ego's that do not put team first.

Every player is tradable for the right offer. If any other team calls me I'm picking up the phone.

If they're going to trade him they need to do it fast. Free agency starts in just over 30 days and his contract looming over the Cowboys could effect how aggressive they can be signing free agents.
I agree 100% but I think the real deadline is the draft............no way in hell you try and trade him AFTER the draft. There is no way he is playing 2025 season on his current rookie deal.

How do you build a defense when you have the highest paid player ever, the 2nd highest paid WR ever, and the highest paid defensive player ever?

You want a chance you go with the first option. It's the only opinion they could luck into success.
Yes if you just keep drafting players and pay no one you can at least win having the most cap space in the NFL. Having to pay a top 2 WR and a top 3 defensive player is a GOOD problem to have. Having the best player from a draft class is a good problem to have.

The line of thinking that trading them because its expensive to pay them falls into a trap, of misunderstanding past mistakes. The Cowboys paid players like DLaw and Steele and Diggs (could also potentially throw that 1 year extension for Martin and the extension for Zeke in there as well) who were/are good players being paid elite dollars. Having the ability to pay elite players elite dollars is a much better problem to have, because that extra 3-4m they get is more than worth it. The Chiefs would not let Chris Jones walk because they knew how important having an elite pass rusher is. If you have an elite disrupter in their prime you just put out the money and build around them, ideally with corners who are not injured and actually playing well.

Edit: For context the difference between Aiyuk and Lamb is worth more than 4m dollars but that is the difference in what they are making.

I guess Micah will be fun to watch while the team wins 6 or 7 games a year for the foreseeable future.

We like our guys.

Jimmy’s not here and I have no faith the Booger boys can pull off a good trade. Look what they got for Cooper.

They're playing a stupid game to try and get him to take a pay cut....but all its gonna do is piss him off. Just stupidity.
That just it.......I'm not sure they are playing games. He's already said he would take a pay cut. I think they have legit concerns in their mind about paying him......not that he's not worth it but adding another highest paid contract to the team and injury risk.

Trade him for draft picks just to watch JJ trade back and draft more busts at DT and TE ?

Yeah....let's trade away our best defensive player. Great idea! smdh
Parsons for Garrett......get it done. Parsons is a social media nightmare.......it's just a matter of time before he does something stupid to get suspended.

He wouldn't sign off on that.........remember his new contract gives him leverage.
Maybe if he can be the highest paid defensive player in the league. Idk the browns cap situation to even do that

Trade him to the browns for Garrett and their 2 overall
No way would they make that trade. lol They already made one stupid trade they’re paying dearly for. Garrett had 14 sacks which is Parsons career best. Garrett is a better player than Parsons.

One trick pony…but pretty good at rushing the passer.

Jerry needs to get out of his comfort zone and make some bold moves.

I say trade him but in the end Jerry will get hoodwinked into making him the highest paid defensive player. You can see it coming.

Wb Garrett and their 2nd rounder?
Would still be a bad trade for them. Garrett had 14 sacks which is Parsons career best. Even at 29 Garrett is a better player than Parsons. He never has to come off the field.

Two number ones or a 1 and 2 twos?

Worth it.
Depends on how high they are. I would not trade him for picks in the 20s. See Mazi Smith and Tyler Guton.

If they project to be top 15 picks, I would.
The problem is anyone trading for him is likely looking to contend and have a good record.
