I like the idea of this because of McQuistan size and abilities. Would yall as fans like to see this and if so who do you think is going to win that position over?

What happen to Flo?

you said habeus corpus is the same as due process right?

your ad hominems are nice but lets go over what happened.

The new conduct policy came out and i said that i didnt like it because it basically ignored habeus corpus. i then left to go by my store. i come back and see that Hos had stepped in and said that i was thinking of due process because habeus corpus was a writ that meant to have a prisoner appear in court insuring due process and not due process in and of itself. that sparked a debate that i was no part of that went on most of the night from what i understand.

That was correct by the way. I was indeed wrong in using it as if they were synonymous.

Fast forward to our Vick threads and you throw that out there as if that has any bearing on the discussion at hand trying to use it as an example of me not knowing what i am talking about. i point out the aforementioned and you pipe in and say that habeus corpus is the same thing as due process and then link the definition. you say that because habeus corpus insures due process that it is due process. I believe the last thing i sad to you was a warranty insures performance but that does not make a warranty performance. it was that or something of that nature.

So I ask you summer in all that what do you think that you are proving when you say habeus corpus other than as usual you are completely without a clue?

What the heck?! When did this become a law school debate forum?

I think you'll find that, in most cases, the facts and opinions expressed on this particular cowboys site are generally more educated than most. Kosier was a very consistent lineman for us last year...he deserves credit for that.

Depends!
Consistent is only admirable when one is consistently good.

Alot of what some would term "Homers" on this site, but you are correct - this site has a vastly higher football IQ than most others. You'll need to break out some more of that football IQ to make me believe Kosier was anything other than acceptable.

YES!!!! Mcquistan is really strong, and as good as Kosier is at pulling and the athletic stuff, he is pretty much the odd man out in terms of this line; All of our other lineman are pretty strong (or at least stronger than Kosier, and Mcquistan is no slouch in that department IMO.

Kosier is along the lines of Al jonhson, an athletic and quick lineman. Maybe if they were on a team like Denver that could use them in a zone-blocking scheme they would perform great, but Kosier doesn't fit into what this line seems to be built for.

Let the best man win, but I am gunning for Mcquistan.

Barring further illumination on the vast merits of Kosier, I tend to agree with you here. McQ might be the better option. We'll see. Kosier would really have to stink up the joint to be benched considering the $$$ he's getting.

He has swelling in his legs so isn't working out right now.

Sounds like the opp meant to say Left Guard though since that is Kosiers spot.

Some people seem to think, somehow, that actual legal techinical issues matter in the NFL. Goodell is pretty much judge, jury, executioner AND court of appeals, and also the Supreme Court. THough one could argue that the owners, together, are the REAL supreme court. Bottom line is all those posts about the law are worthless. They do not matter. That whole debate is worthless. At this time, under the conditions as they are now, Goodell can pretty much discipline any player in the NFL that has caused a fair amount of trouble any way he wants. The courts are not going to get involved-as I pointed out, settling arguments between millionaires is not a priority for them-and with the VAST majority of players wanting the book thrown at Pacman and company, and the owners as a group agreeing, there is nothing to stop Goodell. Arguing labor law is a joke. As certain posters will find out the hard way.

A couple of things.

this thread has nothing to do with the whole conduct policy thing.

second a court will take a case based on merit. if anything the more money involved the more likely the case will be taken.

Wrong again Fuzzy. One of the few things the court system still does not too badly is refuse to mess with certain cases. Nowhere near often enough (the moronic McDonalds spilled hot coffee mess proves that) but most of the time they are smart enough in that one area to ignore stupid cases like this one would be. As I pointed out, solving disputes between sets of millionaires is not something the courts usually want to do.
