I think Mahomes got the perfect coach to play for in Reid, and despite how good Mahomes has played, there's no telling what Garrett would have done with him or how Garrett would have coached him compared to Reid.

Look at Marino. You need to stop with this notion that QBs are the end all be all. Its a perfect storm of coaching, buying in, and culture.

The cowboys lack in all 3 and dont have a QB. So basically. They are screwed.

I refuse to downplay the importance of the QB position.

I’ve seen teams like the Bengals go from nothing to a Super Bowl after drafting a QB.

I’ve seen a team like the 49ers that has all those things you mentioned “culture, coaching, and buying in” lose because of weakness at the QB position.

The QB changes everything.

A good QB changes everything for a franchise because they make coaches look good, they build culture, and they make players buy in.

Why do you keep saying Garrett? He was not in charge of the draft. He may have given input, but he does not do the draft itself.

So you think Burrow was the reason? You dont think Chase had anything to do with it? QBs dont throw the ball to themselves. The QB position is the most important period. However Great QBs can still lose with bad teams around them.
