Wasnt Clarence Hill the one who said it was done first? At the owners meetings?
No.

Both? I mean seems like Jerry no longer has the open checkbook for these guys. Stephen seems alot more involved.
Yup, Garrett doesn't please many.

Jerry never had an open checkbook.
Fact: Jerry low balled the best player he's ever had, certainly the most valuable.
They weren't even at valley ranch...
????
And that is fine. So he lacks his father's ability to close deals.
At least he has his fine tuned ability to recognize talent to compensate
Wait .
They didn't meet him in person. They talked to him over the phone.
Not being rude but what is your point?
More important position. One 3rd the guarantee. Nearly 30% smaller AAV. Shorter total commitment.
But yeah almost totally the same thing.
Why does Carr have to be in the equation at all? We have 30 mil in cap room. What are the savings cutting him outright? Use those savings on Robinson or draft a CB in rd 2-4. I only support Robinson so the team doesn't go DB @ 4; seems to be the way the team drafts. Carr can be replaced by just about anyone tbh and get the same results.
Would use some of that 30 in space to absorb Carr cap hit, lock up Fredrick long term this season and have a plan ready to resign Martin and Collins down the line. This FA session has been weak, and the team's unwillingness to pay Miller led me to believe they were thinking trade back for Zeke. Now Morris is signed, and this is pointing towards a QB/Ramsey @ 4. Love Ramsey, but not over Goff long term assuming CLE goes QB @ 2. The QB would hopefully sit w/Romo having the great season we all want. I'm ready for a plan B if Romo is out long term considering his age and recent injury history (back/ribs/clavicle). 5 years is unrealistic and we should acknowledge that even if JJ doesn't want to.
Players go where the money leads them.
The Cowboys are ballin' on a budget.
Had no desire to play in Dallas. Sounds like his agent agreed to the deal with Dallas and then convinced Robinson to visitValley Ranch to meet with the staff.
Dallas will have big contracts on OL coming up as soon as next year. They know this and are trying to stay Salary Cap lean. Also, in no way w uld signing Robinson take Dallas out of drafting CB #4. None of FA signings were significant enough to alter their draft. I think they will take BPA at one of these three positions: QB, DE, CB.
