Now that this crap is over I hope they go after Hall. I don't care about the age TNEW has done just fine the older he has got. Looking at that PFF list last night I noticed Hall was above both Robinson and Peterson. I believe 14th....He is only 31...rated higher offer him the same money and deal you just gave Robinson and upgrade this pathetic secondary.

Dude he got a mill more to go play for a defense that's even worse than ours. You have to admit, this kind of stuff never used to happen to America's Team. This offseason has been a big red flag to me. Either free agents aren't buying what we're selling about the future or Garrett/Stephen are a turnoff personality wise.

They wont hear you. People can say what they want about Jerry and his football opinion but he's a natural salesman. He's got swagger, charisma, personality, he connects with people. Stephen has none of that. And what folks gotta understand is the allure is waning. There's a generation of players coming into the league the last few years that have never seen the Cowboys win anything, this is no longer a brand that can sell itself.

From what I've read, it came down to $500,000 in guaranteed money and the chance to play for a coach that he liked. And stop me if you've heard this one before, it sounds like he used Dallas to get a better offer from the team he actually wanted to play for.

You know what is the hardest is for some of us boys fans approaching 40 plus years of fandom players not wanting to put on the star is what stings the most. The guy above hit the nail on the head the players today coming in see the star as a medicore failed franchise. Hard not to with the past 20yrs on display.

It's sad, but it's true. Any added allure of the Cowboys star is gone. If this team isn't paying as much or more than the next team? They're not getting the player. Dallas is just another team at this point in time.

That in itself is the hardest pill to swallow.

Colts signed CB Patrick Robinson, formerly of the Chargers, to a three-year, $12 million contract.

A report from Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram indicated Robinson turned down more money from the Cowboys. Robinson had been expected to sign with Dallas, but had a change of heart upon visiting the Colts. He'll replace Greg Toler opposite Pro Bowl right corner Vontae Davis. Robinson earned PFF's 28th-highest cornerback grade out of 118 qualifiers last year.

Cornerback Patrick Robinson has his third different home in three years.

The Colts announced Wednesday they have signed the unrestricted free agent. A source informed of the deal told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that it's a three-year contract worth $14 million with $6 million guaranteed.

Robinson said he made his decision to join Indy after meeting with Colts coach Chuck Pagano over lunch Tuesday.

"We had a great conversation and to be honest, I was sold halfway through the conversation. I already knew that I wanted to be a Colt," Robinson said, according to the team.

More: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Robinson's deal with the Colts will be for three years and $14 million, also noting the Dallas Cowboys were strongly in the mix before Indianapolis stepped in. Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News added the deal was worth $6 million guaranteed and could pay as much as $9 million over the first two seasons.

The Cowboys couldn't offer that...that does not seem unreasonable, considering we are in an era when guys are making 14 million plus a year. And if it would have improved our secondary.

This reliance on the draft to fix every need is baffling. What past draft success gives you this confidence?

You must have a much higher view of Patrick Robinson than I do. Instead of focusing on the need, let me ask you: Do you think we can find a Patrick Robinson in the draft in rounds 3-7 + undrafted FAs?
