Don't see why everyone is getting up in arms over this. Robinson really is not that good.

If he is as good as Carr but get's a fraction of the money, it's a great move. I don't think anyone looks at it as a premier signing, I think most just want some fresh blood in the secondary and/or the flexibility signing Robinson adds in FA and in regard to cutting Carr.

yea, I guess I would counter with, does the price really matter that much? we really aren't spending any large amounts of cap space this offseason, so is it that great of a move? yes it will allow us to roll over more money next year, but this is kinda how I feel. If we do...meh...if we don't...meh.

I am in the Leon Hall group, personally. I just can't imagine going into the 2016 season with the exact same secondary. I just don't know how the team can justify that.

Yes it's posted in one of these threads with a link. He graded out in the top ten for all comers last year. He would actually be a very nice upgrade to our secondary.

Just scanned the whole thread. Don't see any links to any articles saying that.

Yep graded out as a top cover corner last year.

jmo, PFFs rankings are to be taken with a grain of salt. also a quick google search lead me to this

6. Patrick Robinson
2015 team: San Diego Chargers

Robinson is set to hit free agency for the second year in a row after signing a one-year deal with the Chargers last offseason. After having his ups and downs in New Orleans, the former first-round pick put together one of the better seasons of his short career. Robinson allowed 30 or more yards receiving just once all season, and ranked in the top third of cornerbacks in coverage grade. But his inconsistency prior to his San Diego stint is still a bit concerning.

Not quite top 10, and he was likely bottom third when he was in New Orleans.

Yeah I found the same thing I don't think whoever said 5,6 was using pff but not 100 sure.
