Little leery of getting another Baylor route runner in here, especially since he's done nothing in the league but get injured.
It's a cheap gamble - relatively speaking. And there is no pressure on him to start immediately. He can be the 4th option while he learns.

Smh......jesus....its looking more and more like if we are going to get better at receiver its going to have to be through the draft and i'm not excited about that.

I still don't fully understand how nearly everyone is buying into the idea that the Cowboys have a WR problem. Dak needs to learn how to throw receivers open - something that great QB's do routinely, but he has yet to master.

Have you seen where the Browns are only asking for a fourth rounder?

Yeah I don't see that. I'd imagine if they'd take a 4th for Coleman they would've jumped on it. I think they like Gordon because he's cheap but he's a huge risk. You have to go about it as if he's not on the roster unless you get blown away. They have enough draft picks to where I think you'd have to come harder than a 4th rounder for them to get rid of Coleman.

I like his game....I just don't like the injury history and how he was capable of making big plays but not making the reliable play. May be it was because he was in that Seahawks offense...but based on what he's shown? I can't pay that. Same goes for Sammy Watkins. They both have potential to be worth those contracts....but I can't go into free agency paying based on potential. Not unless its a one year or 2 year deal.

If we don't pay it, someone else will. Not saying it's you specifically, but it seems fans want guarantees and to not assume any risk when it comes to players (they're not the FO, so they're not anyways, lol). These contracts for unknown future performance are nothing but risk. Risk will never be eliminated from the equation. Some risks can be calculated, others less so.

The receiver situation has been a problem prior to last season. Even the year Dak played lights out......our receiving options are on the slower end. We need more speed on offense. Terrance Williams is unreliable and inconsistent. Dez Bryant....is pretty much the same though I think we are hoping for a bounce back year but until proven otherwise he too is unreliable and inconsistent. Cole Beasley is quick and small. They need to become faster at that position.

Oh I already know how free agency works. Its the land of the overpaid and overrated. I don't think the Cowboys are in position to overpay for this type of talent. I'm willing to pay for the underachiever....not the underachiever who stays hurt though.

I wish had any athletic talent at all outside of a high school level. Anyone know how I can cash in by beating Contra on NES with no cheat codes?

C'mon man! Up-up, down-down, left-right, left-right, B, A!

All day baby!

What it's looking like. But if this is the demand, Ridley might be long gone.
The Ravens are desperate for WR’s and due to our awesome 6-0 thrashing of the eagles last year we will now be drafting a few spots after the Ravens instead of before them.

Most likely Ridley is gone. Looking like a trade down to get him or more likely we have to hope one of the next level guys is there later in the draft.

I will say this though,

We are by far leaps and bounds the worst WR / TE group in the East

Skins - Docston, Richardson, Crowder, Reed

Giants - Odell, Shepherd, Engram

Eagles - Jeffrey, Agholor, Ertz
Eagles have Hollins at receiver as well

He will never see $12M every year for the duration of that contract. The 20M guaranteed is really the only thing that matters.

am i remedial? isn't it 5 yrs 40 mil? where's the 12 mil per come from?

Such a field stretcher.

Career ypc is 13.7

For comparison, Twill's is 14.6 with more than twice as many catches

with that being said, Seattle is a defensive/running team. we are supposed to be an offensive team. not debating, just pointing that out

Let's hope that both the Dolphins and the Ravens choose WR's, and maybe even the Bears. Then maybe, just maybe, we can stop the insanity of wasting a 1st round pick on a WR.

Haven't seen the contract, but it probably refers to how much he'll make in 2018 with his signing bonus and salary.

20M for Richardson? Well, does this mean Dez will now be a holdout at for his paltry 12.5M? How will he be able to eat on that? Or shop at a mall for jewelry?
