Imnot embassed . I see the game you want to play. You saw a scab in my comment and pick it so the blood flows.
Lets cut to the chase here...and cut the games. Clarity over agreement. You think the o line is great. I dont.
End of story.
No, that's not correct. You posted multiple comments challenging anyone to say the last time any offensive linemen get downfield to block. I simply said they did in fact on a regular basis.

Then you tried to act like my statement was laughable and doubled down on false narratives. I have no idea why you went down that path but its completely your actions that caused you to get called out.

Was the Oline great? I wouldn't say they were "great" either but they were clearly one of the better units in the league. If you wanna say they aren't great, fine. But you can't make false claims as your support and expect people to just accept it.

It should be massive. He's just a short yardage back now.

Respectfully, i just don’t see it. He’s the first running back I’ve ever seen where his biggest selling point is pass blocking.

I tend to believe he’s been more of a product of what’s around him that say his own talent, and yeah i know I’m in an island here but always, even including his rookie year found him to be vastly overrated. And i actually like the guy as a person and seems like a god teammate. And not saying this to you at all, but we have some irrational obsessive fans in my opinion.

I think it’s more about admitting mistakes.

There’s nothing to admit anymore. Just him sitting there at the end of every season with the same stupid glossed look on his face, it says it all.

He's an every down back....
Ranch i respect your football knowledge but another 1st pick on a RB, its hard for me to get behind when i see the diference between late round production and first round production... would love to see a trench pick if we have one in the first round...just my nopinion.

Just carried our offense and his inept bud since 2016.
How soon do many of you forget.......oh well life is the life I guess.
That doesn't mean he deserves to be overpaid or even have a roster spot.

Draft a rookie (on a rookie deal for 4 years) who can replace him and the 53 is immediately better.

I don’t want him to take the deal. I don’t want to offer him a deal.

He's going to count as 11+ million against the cap no matter what we do. A pay cut does nothing to change that. How they choose to distribute that 11M is what is in question. The one thing we know for sure is it won't be more than that.
This is not true. I showed the math earlier in this thread. If they cut his base salary from $10.9 million to $1 million, let's say, they would get $9.9 million in cap savings and his cap hit would be just around $7 million.

Now the issue really is how much of an actual pay cut is he willing to take? I suspect any thoughts of trimming his base salary down from $10.9 million to like $2 million is a pipe dream.

Yup, and if we tag TP we will have over 15 mill (or more) at the RB position again. I like TP really do but let them both go and use Davis and draft his partners for the backfield this year...the production will not be 15 to 20 mill diferent.

This upcoming year. But he'll still have some dead cap left over. Unless I'm looking at it wrong.

The first 3 years he was a complete beast. Then we started seeing him going into self preservation mode by taking himself out of the game on the regular…….I don’t remember #22 doing that back in the day

but, I agree, I wish the ending would have been on a higher note
Cause Emmitt never did, unless the game was a blowout.
