Dak was one of the best 4th round picks in NFL history and likely had the best rookie QB season in history - and look how much people here still complained.
It was the Romoholics with their still butthurt feelings. Grown men acting like kids.

Weren't we 1-3 with Dak? Weren't we 8-8 with Dak last year on a rookie deal?

How do we expect to get better with a $30+ million QB ???

Yes but you are seeing this from a position of logic and reason which will not go far with those that base their thinking purely on emotion and fandom.

We need smarter fans.

Why would we sign any free agent out there this offseason? I mean it's useless. That's essentially the stance you're taking

We have Jaylon taking up $12M to be one of the worst LBs in the league.
Poe shouldn't be on a roster.
60% of our salary cap is on IR
Griffen shouldn't be on a roster

So what good is it to sign a single soul? Won't make a difference.

Y'all have seen how this front offense evaluates outside free agents compared to home grown talent and yall... want... to not sign Dak and sign a bunch outside defensive free agents to hopefully get to average on that side of the ball, while we literally have one of the best offenses in footba when healthy?

Y'all are grown men using this logic? REALLY!? Yikes.

You're not using logic at all, none!

Your argument is don't pay a player what he is worth, because other players aren't playing up to their contract.

THAT'S NOT LOGIC, THAT'S ASININE. Seek help!

Top 5 QB in the league?????

Let's see: Rodgers, Wilson, Mahomes, Jackson, Brees, Roethlisberger are all better than Dak. Then you could argue that Murray, Cousins, Brady, Ryan, Stafford, Allen, and Watson are equal to or better than Dak.

So to say he is a Top 5 QB is a big stretch.
None of them were putting up anywhere close to Dak's passing numbers before Dak got injured.

NONE OF THEM. You heard correctly.

Refute those passing numbers.

Dak most definitely is a Top 5 QB. Go sulk on those facts.

Okay, so Dak was putting up passing statistics for what was a 1-3 team when he got hurt all while the other guys were leading their teams to the following record to date:

Rodgers 5-1

Wilson 5-0

Mahomes 6-1

Jackson 5-1

Brees 4-2

Roethlisberger 6-0

That debate has been settled very easily, and it didn't take long at all.

If you were on the "Don't pay Dak" side you now look incredibly foolish, and if you were on the other side you have another year of contract negotiations to not look forward to.

This sucks.

If you ever thought Zeke was the "engine behind this offense" well LMAOOOO

Honestly.............there is no debate. Paying Dak the market rate of around 35 million, which is what he wants couldnt be more obvious. And any fans hoping for it not happen will again be sorely disappointed.

WRONG!

Dak is a bonafied franchise Top 5 QB in the league right now. He's in his prime. QBs like Dak don't grow on trees.

A rookie QB would take 2-3 years to mature and learn the game at the NFL level. By that time, most of the team would be "over the hill" and definitely rebuilding.
I agree that Dak is a top 5QB: however, I think we are going to rebuild this team through the draft. The product on the field is terrible. Charles Haley is spot on with this team.

This falls on the GM. Stop whining about Prescott. They had 4 ******** years on a next to nothing rookie salary and all they did was bring in scrubs on the defense. And instead of drafting a DT or safety (Note both positions on our team are historically bad) we draft a WR! After extending another 1st rounder on offense. The O line had 3 high paid contracts, how's that working out?

And some are talking about logic?

Hey, Jack, it takes a team to win games, NOT ONLY THE QB.

NONE OF THEM WERE PUTTING UP NUMBERS COMPARABLE TO DAK! FACT!!!

You gotta find out where you land in the draft. If you end up w/ a chance to get a QB....you take the rookie...and save the money.

Why would anyone do that? You have a top 7 QB in a year be may be top 5. Lawrence could take a few years to develop and never come close to Dak. And your going to have to pay Lawrence anyway in 5 years.

No.........what you do is get rid of chumps like Lawrence, Zeke, Jaylon, and even Cooper and there is tons of cap money. Bring in the young guys.

Now if your telling me you can get a kings ransom for Dak, then that makes SOME sense.

So would you rather have personal stats or team wins? So anytime anyone points out Dak's team led record it's suddenly a team game but Dak should be paid because of his personal statistics and not what he helped lead the team to? Okay.

PS

You are right, none of them were putting up Dak's stats as they were too busy helping their team win.
