I'd love to see an article from a time when Pederson has been going for it on 4th down. Things may have changed since 2009, but your reference could still be an accurate depiction for today. The few eagles games I have seen the past couple of years had mixed results.I think that has to have some context because it has obviously benefited them too. There's plenty of analytics saying going for it on fourth down in the opposition's side of the field is advantageous. In fact, it might be a big reason for their instant success under him.
Here's a good article from the NY Times about it--

He's being sarcastic...LOL!What?
Garrett is a mediocre coach with trash heap assistants, and Jerry is a bad GM.
Oh it’s simple- DP is allowed to coach non RKGs. In fact RKGs were never mentioned. The RKTs, however, were. RKT equals Right Kind of Talent, just joking.
From what I can tell, Jeffery Lerie, the Eagles owner, is not treating DP as a puppet. He’s allowing the man to coach and have control over personnel.
Right. Saying Garrett is the average one and the assistants are the trash heap is untrue. Garrett has above average assistants. Marinelli already has and can field elite defenses again. Linehan can field decent offenses. Nobody knows where Garrett would get hired or what expertise he brings.Garrett is nowhere near average. He is a big part of the trash heap, too.
If they win next week look for them to trade Foles in the off season. They will turn him into a high draft pick. That's what they've done with their QBs since the Andy Reid days. They've gotten 2nd round picks for guys name Feely and Kolb. What most don't know is it's not just Howie Roseman. What they did last year is bring a real football man in Joe Douglas. He was groomed under Ozzie Newsome. He is the best at talent evaluation. What their GM has been able to do is pretty amazing. Pretty much every move he has made has worked out well. A little luck never helps either. When they traded Bradford to the Vikings for a #1 pick I believe the Vikings were 5-0. The Vikings went in the tank giving the Eagles a higher pick. They then used players and picks to move up in the top 10 and then up to 2nd to draft Wentz. Peterson definitely does not have say over personnel. Lurie gave that power to Chip Kelly and it was a disaster. I give the Eagles credit for realizing they made a mistake and moving on. I don't really know how great a coach Pederson really is but their GM has the midas touch right know where everything he does turns to gold.
It seems like just yesterday we were all laughing at Chip Kelly and his house cleaning. Well the organization realized they made a mistake and were openly ready to move on. Jerry never admits he made a mistake and until he can do that this team will never move forward. Garrett is not an NFL caliber coach and his assistants were found on the scrap heap pile of coaches and thats because real head coach wants to come to Dallas and be undermined by Jerry!
What made Romo's maturation take longer was playing for a head coach in training and not having input on the gameplans until 2014.Jerry develops friendships with his coaches and players. This creates a situation where the GM is emotionally connected to players and staff. Think of it this way, 4 of your best friends work for you. You the (GM) are at your friends family functions, even the wives have Jerry's phone number. Your friends are no longer performing at a level that is conducive for success. How do you cut/fire your friends? Getting too "connected" to your staff dilutes your objectivity.
1. Jerry refused to bring in any decent competition for Romo, This made Romo's maturation take a bit longer. By the time Romo achieved maturity, his body was shot due to our poor offensive lines.
2. We draft TE's in order to play the 2 TE set. We have good TE's on our bench. Jerry/Jason both can see that Witt gets no yac, and his blocking has deteriorated. I wont believe that Witten is out playing Hanna or Swaim in practice. The coaches see his inability to run the seam route at a pace fast enough to beat the safety to the spot.
3. 8 years of Jason Garret at a 8-8 clip
The 2nd round has been unkind to the Cowboys. A round that really should help provide the foundation for the roster. We might’ve been able to build a defense like Jacksonville the past few years had our drafts gone a little differently. We drafted Escabar one spot ahead of Bell in the 2013 draft. Had we drafted Bell we could have used our #4 overall last April on Ramsey. We could’ve then drafted Myles Jack who carried far less risk than Jaylon Smith and who’s much farther along.

I believe it took them two years to get to this position their in. Hell, NE changed 20 players out from last years championship team and look where they're at. Both clear indications of what a REAL GM and coaching staff can do. We lack both...Very sad to watch how badly our team is run . Just a short time ago the Eagles were in a shambles and some how they have made enough good moves to blast right by us in the division and be hosting a chance to play in a SB .
With all the recourses at jerry's disposal and he sits on his hands and watches this happen . Just proves money is useless if you don't know how to spend it .

Yep!!We’ve pretty much reserved our second round picks for injured players and drug addicts. Escabar never made any sense in the second round in 2013. I have posts all over the board the day of the draft saying he was going to be a complete waste of a pick.
Escobar could have been signed the day after the draft was over. That pick boggles my mind to this day, particularly when you see who the Cowboys passed on to get him. We’ve pretty much reserved our second round picks for injured players and drug addicts. People tell me how much influence Stephen has on the team but yet we are still unsuccessful. We still have awful dept. We lose a starter and we start Jags. The only difference I see is that Stephen is cheap with FA.
