Can you explain the Raiders game? Can you explain why Romo was only given 2, at most 3 roughing calls in his entire career? Can you explain why Green Bay's line wasn't called for one holding penalty in our last playoff game with them?

No, you can't. You'd rather sit up here and act like a tough guy who doesn't whine and complain. Good for you. Most people see right through it. And by the way, noticing things isn't complaining. Questioning things isn't complaining.

Therefore you will have missed calls and some that are just terrible lapses in judgement with a good deal of things being judgement calls themselves. You can argue "undisciplined", bad coaching, etc and that's true for every blatant off-sides penalty.... However, there were tons of holding penalties, pass interference calls which are usually subjective. Penalties that completely ruin drives, ruin games. Connor Williams had 17 penalties in 2021. I'll bet money now that he's not on the Cowboys, his penalties become a non-factor.

Is this a full blown conspiracy out against the Cowboys?? Not quite, as refs want to keep their jobs and surely aren't conspiring a planned attempt to keep the Cowboys franchise down. However, individually speaking.... I'd bet money that if you polled every NFL official on what team they hate the most.... DING DING DING!

Cowboys have had more penalties than their opponent in almost every playoff game in the last decade. I looked at all of them.

One of the few games the Cowboys had fewer was the 2014 playoff game against the Packers. lol the infamous game where...... Ruling on the field is a CATCH!! RULING ON THE FIELD! Indisputable evidence says it's not a catch!! (New York Review Offices)
Years later they say they were wrong, shortly after same play happened in the Eagles super bowl win, which they some how said it WAS A CATCH! Therefore, they admitted being wrong on the Dez play. Wait wait wait wait........ So Refs were wrong on the Dez catch and admitted it, yet the Ruling on the Field said it was a catch and the review team, not even the refs, say it was not a catch!

Rant over but at least understand when you're watching the Cowboys continue to struggle in 2022, we're not just playing against another team! We're also playing against the "Zebras"!

Criminal? Or does the law of averages dictate that the refs will miss some for every team? So you're saying that it happens to other teams but they bust out the special mistakes only for the Cowboys? And you aren't noticing anything if you're going to ignore the counter-evidence to your "theory." You're just foot-stamping and whining about how we're the victim as an excuse for why we don't win. For 27 years. I didn't hear any ref conspiracies in the 90s.

So what "higher level" penalties do the refs treat us to than the blown OPI missed call the Rams suffered in the Super Bowl? But did you see how the Rams responded after having that not go their way? They went out and won the game. Our players and coaches are just as whiny as the fans and go complaining to the press. Again, most of you don't even know the rules on the calls you complain about (like Butler's) and just go following other whiners so you can guarantee you'll have company.

So if you play on the team that is flagged an NFL leading 127 times and Playoff leading 14 times....

Does it make any sense for the league office, that reviews the officiating of every game, to penalize the ratings darling of the NFL?

This idea that the league office is trying to keep the #1 ratings getter down when they exist for TV does not make sense. The NFL always makes decisions based on what benefits them the most financially and that does not benefit them.

• It was well documented that the Packers taught their OLinemen a technique that is technically holding, but that the refs normally don't call.
  • Similar to the Legion of Boom defensive coverage, they continued to use an illegal technique assuming the refs would stop calling penalties for it.
  • The NFL does not like refs to call too many penalties per game because the NFL does not want to the game times to get too long.
  • Many NFL fans already believe that Green Bay gets favorable treatment by the refs.
  • Many NFL fans believe some teams (Cowboys, etc.) get un-favorable treatment by the refs.

• Connor Williams had an average number of penalties until 2021.
  • 2021 was CW's first full off-season with Philbin/McCarthy (2020 was the Covid year).
  • He was repeatedly penalized for using the Green Bay type holding technique.
  • Philbin did not want to bench CW because he knew that the GB technique was the reason for his penalties.
  • Eventually, management said enough-is-enough and they benched CW for McGovern.
  • There were multiple reports that Philbin 'did not like' McGovern.
  • After 4 games, CW regained the starting role.
  • After returning, he averaged less than 1 penalty per game.

• Veterans like Zack Martin were unlikely to change their technique regardless of the OL coach.
  • The young players were most likely to implement the GB holding technique.
  • 2021 Penalties:
    • Biadasz: 10
    • Steele: 8
    • CW: 3x more than in seasons before Philbin/McCarthy arrived.

Conclusion: GB didn't get overly penalized for using the GB holding technique, but Dallas OLinemen did get penalized for it.

All of that, and what frustrated me more was seeing Parsons get close lined/choked almost every single time he rushed the QB and rarely got a call in his favor. IMO he should have had 10 more sacks at minimum.

I'm not into a conspiracy theory as to the refs, that would require way too much coordination and mutual cooperation among them. Any psychological implication would be a reach as well.

When three of the top ten penalty magnets play for the same team it becomes pretty clear where the issue originates from. Then again, what would you expect, discipline and accountability?

We will have to revist this after next season. All I know for sure is MM never had a problem coaching "discipline and accountability" in GB. Those teams were always at the bottom of the league in penalties against.

You said Mike McCarthy coached teams (prior to the Cowboys) were some the least penalized to try and highlight the fact you think there is bias now that he’s with the Cowboys.

The article shows three specific years McCarthy’s Packers we’re some of the most penalized teams.

Now you’re trying to pivot and act like recency somehow invalidates the point. Man up and just accept you’re wrong.

Did you guys forget the tackle on Irving ( no holding call ) on the AR miracle throw to TE on the sideline , in the playoff game at the ATT stadium in 2016? Imagine it was done by a Dallas OL…

Few years back we led the league in QB pressures while simultaneously not drawing a holding penalty against our defense in double digit games. Seriously, what are the odds? Nobody ever held the team who was leading the entire league in qb pressures? Give me a break.

Teach your OL to block with correct balance and technique . Don't tolerate pre snap penalties. For the love of God every HS coach corrects pre snap penalties .
